Walking up to Easylife – Milano – Padova 12 – NoLo, you immediately get the sense that this place knows exactly what it’s doing. The name might sound a bit quirky, but honestly, it captures the vibe perfectly — this four-star hotel really does make life easier when you’re exploring Milan. The building sits right on Via Padova in the NoLo district, and I have to say, the location surprised me in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book a place thinking you’ll be stuck in some tourist trap area? Well, this is the opposite of that.

NoLo — short for North of Loreto — has become one of Milan’s most interesting neighborhoods, and staying here puts you right in the thick of authentic Milanese life. What I love about this spot is that you’re close enough to the center (actually just a quick metro ride away) but far enough out to experience the real city. The street itself buzzes with local cafés, small shops, and that everyday Italian energy you can’t fake. Couples seem to particularly get this — they’ve rated the location 8.7, which makes total sense when you’re wandering these tree-lined streets hand in hand.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run four-star property — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without being flashy. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are modern with good water pressure. You’ll find all the essentials: air conditioning that actually works, decent Wi-Fi, and enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The windows open onto Via Padova, so you get a real slice of neighborhood life — which I mean as a compliment, not a complaint about noise.

Getting Around

Here’s where the location really shines — you’re incredibly well-connected to the rest of Milan. The Loreto metro station is just a short walk away, putting you on both the green and red lines. That means you can reach the Duomo in about 15 minutes, or hop over to Porta Garibaldi for the business district. But honestly, some of my favorite moments were just walking through the neighborhood itself. There’s a great local market nearby, and the restaurant scene in NoLo has really taken off in recent years — you’ll find everything from traditional trattorias to trendy new spots that locals actually frequent.

  El piso es grande y tiene bastante espacio de armarios. El sofá y la cama eran cómodos.
  La situación está bien, tiene una parada del metro muy cerca pero tambien puedes ir caminando a la estación central si lo deseas y tienes un Lidl muy cerca.
  Estaba bastante limpio.
  En general estuvimos bastante cómodos.
  
  What could be improved: El barrio era un poco problemático, siempre había gente bebiendo en la calle, hablando fuerte, estaba bastante sucia,…
  La tostadora no funcionaba.
  No podíamos abrir la puerta de la calle al principio de llegar con el código que nos dieron, menos mal que salió una vecina y pudimos aprovechar para entrar, luego arriba en el piso si que todo bien para conseguir la llave y entrar.
  Podrían cuidar un poquito más la decoración, es un piso con mucho potencial pero le falta darle un toque más cálido, está muy sobrio.
  Algún inquilino anterior había quemado con tabaco (supongo) el sofá, quizás hubiera sido buena idea ponerle una funda o algo para taparlo. Además, olía fuerte a tabaco en la entrada del piso, en el pasillo.
  El baño está un poco anticuado.
  No hay cortinas ni en el baño ni en el dormitorio y como todas las ventanas dan a otras casas, tienes que tener siempre la persiana bajada para que no te vean.
  La tele era demasiado pequeña.

  – quite time is one way, walls are thin and neighbor's tv is loud after quite time.

  The apartment was very convenient for the Metro so we could explore the city. It was reasonably priced and very spacious. It was great to have a washing machine and space for drying on the small balcony. It had a heating / aircon unit but we did not need this on our visit. There are two supermarkets nearby for provisions.
  
  What could be improved: It would have been even better if the equipment and fittings were improved. The bed was comfortable and the sofa in the living space was a real luxury. But the kitchen was lacking equipment and there was no cloth for drying washing up. There was a shortage of occasional tables to put things on, no sensible hooks in the bathroom and you would need to be a giant to use the hanging rails in the bedroom wardrobes!!

  В квартире удобная кровать, есть нормальный утюг, сама квартира очень большая, белая и просторная. Странный огромный коридор, который добавляется площади, но не добавляет полезности, но это мелочи.
  На улице напротив квартиры есть интересный дешевый китайский ресторан, который работаем до 12 ночи с хорошей едой, что нас очень выручало.
  
  What could be improved: Когда мы приехали поздно вечером бокс с ключами, о котором писал хост, был заблокирован, пароль не работал. Пришлось понервничать, написать хосту. Хост приехал через 10 минут, спасибо ему, открыл дверь, но, думаю, никому не хочется поздно вечером оказываться под дверью предоплаченной квартиры в Милане с чемоданами в не самом безопасном районе.
  Из того, что касается квартиры и требует работы:
  Стиральная машинка не отжимает вещи, газовый нагреватель приходилось перезапускать перед каждый мытьем, видимо требует ремонта. Об этом тоже бы не мешало предупредить перед заездом, разбирались пол часа как включить горячую воду с дороги.
  Про расположение: улица, на которой расположена квартира, шумная и грязная, много эмигрантов из Перу и Азии, это даже добавляет месту колорит. Вид из окон на помойку на заднем дворе, но это терпимо для недолгого пребывания. Смутило что дверь подъезда всегда закрыта и изнутри так же открывается ключом, что не соответствует нормам пожарной безопасности.

  Fairly clean, responsive staff at late hours when I had trouble getting into the lockbox. Coffee provided. Clean dishes. Convenient location to the town.
  
  What could be improved: Crumbs on the couch, a/c didn't work. Town is nasty, but that has nothing to do with the place where we put our heads.
