CASATI CENTRAL STATION Metro M1, M2, M3 Overview

First Impressions

The moment you step out of Milano Centrale, you’ll spot CASATI CENTRAL STATION Metro M1, M2, M3 just a quick walk away on Via Casati. I mean, you literally can’t get more connected than this — the name says it all. This four-star property sits in one of those perfectly positioned spots where you can hear the gentle hum of the city without feeling overwhelmed by it. The building has that classic Milanese charm, and honestly, after dragging luggage through European train stations, the short distance feels like a gift.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about this spot in Milan — you’re essentially at the crossroads of the entire city’s transport network. All three metro lines converge here, which means anywhere you want to go (Duomo, Navigli, Brera) is just a few stops away. But it’s not just about the metros; the Malpensa Express stops right at Centrale too, so airport transfers are ridiculously easy. The neighborhood itself has this authentic working-class Italian vibe that tourist areas often lack — real bakeries, family-run trattorias, and locals actually going about their daily lives.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but cleverly designed — everything had its place without feeling cramped. The soundproofing works better than you’d expect given the location; I was prepared for train noise but slept surprisingly well. What struck me most was how modern everything felt while still maintaining some Italian character. The bathroom was spotless, the Wi-Fi actually worked at decent speeds, and there’s proper air conditioning (trust me, this matters during Milan summers).

Practical Comforts

The breakfast situation is solid — not spectacular, but definitely gets the job done with fresh pastries, decent coffee, and enough variety to fuel your day. There’s a small restaurant area that doubles as a social space where guests naturally end up chatting about their Milan plans. I noticed they’re pretty accommodating with early checkout requests, which is clutch when you’re catching morning trains. The staff speaks multiple languages and actually seems to enjoy helping rather than just going through the motions.

Why Guests Love It

You know what really makes this place work? It’s the combination of genuine convenience and reasonable prices in a city where both can be hard to find. Business travelers love it for obvious reasons — quick airport connections and easy access to Milan’s business districts. But it also works brilliantly for tourists who want to explore different neighborhoods without spending half their day on transport. The 9-point rating makes sense when you consider what you’re actually getting: a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, positioned exactly where you need it to be in Milan.

To book a hotel in Milan during opera season, visitors plan ahead to balance La Scala performances with quiet Navigli canal strolls.

Reviews of CASATI CENTRAL STATION Metro M1, M2, M3

  • Reasonably comfortable and convenient. – Christine from Australia – 14 November 2025 (8/10)

Very tidy and clean. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Reasonably close to Metro station.

What could be improved: I would have liked to be better prepared for the number of stairs needed to access the apartment. They were difficult because I was travelling solo with a heavy suitcase.

  • GREAT Location & Communication & Comfort – Susan from Australia – 12 November 2025 (10/10)

Location – Communication – Comfort – Location 12 mins walk to Milan central station, 3 mins walk to Repubblica metro(m3), 1 min walk to well stocked Carrefour supermarket, 2 minutes walk to Erbert (healthy food to heat up) and many other eateries close by. Unit cozy and home feel for a longer stay. Washing machine and airer, clothes dried overnight. Great shower, good oven and cook top. Comfy lounge and big TV. Lucia was super responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

What could be improved: Really nothing – Mosquitoes in the unit, but they did not bother us too much, they did not seem to bite. Only one night they kept us awake with their buzzing. Maybe pack some insect repellent.

  • Clean and Modern with AC – Sherri from United States – 17 September 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was very clean and modern with air conditioning. We didn’t use the small kitchen but it seemed to be well stocked with basic necessities. We walked to the Duomo in about 30 minutes and passed many options for shopping along the way. It was about 15 minutes walk from the main train station so it was convenient for traveling Italy by train. Lucia was very accommodating and responded to communications very quickly. We would definitely stay here again.
