First Impressions

Center design house sits right on Ripa di Porta Ticinese, and honestly, you can’t miss the sleek facade — it’s all clean lines and modern touches that somehow don’t clash with the historic Navigli neighborhood around it. Walking in, I was struck by how they’ve managed to create this four-star boutique feel without going overboard on the contemporary design stuff. The lobby has this understated elegance that actually makes you feel welcome rather than intimidated.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s great about this spot? You’re literally steps from the canal-side action, but far enough back that you won’t hear every conversation from the aperitivo crowd below. Milan‘s Navigli district is where locals go to unwind — those postcard-perfect canals lined with bars and trattorias that come alive around sunset. I mean, you can walk to Porta Genova station in about eight minutes, which connects you to the rest of the city pretty seamlessly.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — they’ve really maximized every square inch without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (sometimes these design-focused places forget about actually sleeping), and I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. There’s decent soundproofing too, which you’ll appreciate given the lively neighborhood just outside.

Dining & Local Scene

The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, but honestly, that’s part of the charm here — you’re surrounded by some of Milan’s best casual dining. Just downstairs and around the corner, you’ve got everything from traditional Milanese spots to trendy fusion places. The staff actually gave me solid recommendations that weren’t just tourist traps, which I really appreciated. For breakfast, they partner with a local café that does proper Italian coffee and pastries.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it doesn’t try too hard — it’s stylish without being pretentious, modern but not sterile. The Navigli location means you’re experiencing Milan like locals do, especially in the evenings when the canals transform into this buzzing social scene. Sure, it’s not the fanciest hotel in the city, but the combination of smart design, genuine hospitality, and that perfect spot in one of Milan’s most authentic neighborhoods makes it feel like a real find rather than just another place to sleep.

  The location was perfect for us. The house was nice and clean , good facilities at the property , secured area and the host was friendly and ready to help . Tram to central area stops just a few meters from the property and the Metro station is 15 minute walk from the property. The Green Line from this station takes you to Milano Central train station .

  The location. The look.
  
  What could be improved: The power went out within 2 hours on first day.
  The terrace was not available for use.
  The gas stove needed a lighter to operate.
  The wifi went out with the power and was not restored until 3rd day, on a 3 day stay.
  There are signs everywhere, which are indicators of whats about to happen while in the house!

  The property looks nice. It has walls. But it is not comfortable or functional in a regular stay manner!
  Something seems sketchy as property is intentionally neglected and left to customer for repair or understanding 😉

  We were allowed to check in early which was really nice. The apartment was quiet and the living area was bright and large. Communication was very good. Location was great.
  
  What could be improved: The freezer was iced over and the door didn't shut. The apartment smelled like smoke. The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. It could have been cleaned better. There was alot of dirt under the bed and we also saw mold in the bathroom and front bedroom.

  Best location, the Navigli is the coolest part of Milano.
  
  What could be improved: The Pictures are at least five years old, the condition of the apartment is not fit for those pictures, so it is overpriced compared to reality.
  The walls are really thin, therefore you can hear everything from the neighborhoods, this is not your flat if you like to sleep.
  The bedrooms and the bathrooms are situated on the ground floor which is very dark, so you have to make your make-up on the stairs, which is the lightest point of the flat.

Facilities
