Central City Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Central City Apartment on Corso Genova, you immediately get that “I’m in the heart of it all” feeling. This four-star property sits right where Milan’s energy pulses strongest — honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic Milanese charm, but what really caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create something that feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a typical hotel.
The Neighborhood
Corso Genova is one of those streets that locals actually use, which I love. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Duomo, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of bars and trattorias where you’ll hear more Italian than English. The Navigli district — Milan‘s famous canal area — is practically on your doorstep, meaning evening aperitivo spots are never more than a few blocks away. I mean, you can stumble back from dinner without needing to figure out the metro system.
The Space
The apartment-style setup here is what sets this place apart from your standard hotel experience. Each unit has a proper kitchenette (not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker), which actually comes in handy when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the morning markets. The room I stayed in had these lovely high ceilings and windows that let in tons of natural light — something you don’t always get in Milan’s city center. The design strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Italian character.
Daily Life Here
What I really appreciated was how the staff treats you more like a temporary resident than a tourist passing through. They’re genuinely helpful with neighborhood recommendations — not just the obvious tourist spots, but actual suggestions for where to get the best coffee on your way to wherever you’re heading. There’s no formal restaurant on-site, but honestly, with this location, you’d be crazy to eat hotel food anyway. The nearby markets and food scene are half the reason to stay here.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense once you spend a few days here. It’s that rare combination of independence and service — you get the freedom of having your own space with a kitchen, but with the backup of hotel amenities when you need them. The parking situation is handled well too, which anyone who’s driven in Milan will tell you is no small feat. You know what really sells it though? After a day of navigating Milan’s intensity, coming back here feels like returning to your own little corner of the city rather than just another hotel room.

– good locationGreat stay in a beautiful part of Central Milan. – Wendy from Australia – 16 October 2024 (9/10)
The owner was great to communicate with, he got straight back to us each time I asked him anything. He allowed us to put our bags in the apartment in the morning before the cleaner had arrived. This was a great help as it meant we could spend the day out and about without worrying about the bags. He then notified me as soon as the apartment had been cleaned. The apartment is in a great location in a beautiful part out the city. There are restaurants in the street below and is walking distance to the duomo and the centre of the city. A tram goes past the apartment.
