Central Maya Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Central Maya Apartment on Corso Lodi, you’ll immediately notice this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s tucked into a residential building in the Ripamonti Corvetto area, which honestly gives it more of an authentic Milan feel than those sterile business hotels downtown. The three-star rating might seem modest, but I mean, you’re getting an actual apartment experience rather than just a standard hotel room.
The Neighborhood Reality
Look, Ripamonti Corvetto isn’t the most glamorous part of town — it’s working-class Milan, the real deal. But here’s what I actually love about this location: you’re genuinely living like a local for a few days. There’s a fantastic morning market just a couple blocks away, and the metro connections are actually pretty solid once you figure them out. Plus, you’ll save serious money on meals since there are proper neighborhood trattorias here, not tourist traps charging €25 for mediocre pasta.
The Apartment Setup
The space itself surprised me — it’s bigger than most hotel rooms you’d get for this price in Milan. The kitchen is small but functional, which is honestly a game-changer if you want to grab groceries and make breakfast instead of paying hotel prices. The decor is simple, maybe a bit dated, but everything works and it’s clean. You know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re spending most of your day exploring the city anyway.
Getting Around Milan
Here’s the thing about staying in this area — yes, you’re not walking distance from the Duomo, but the Corvetto metro station gets you into central Milan in about 20 minutes. I actually preferred this setup because I could escape back to a quiet neighborhood at the end of busy sightseeing days. The corso itself has a nice evening vibe with families out walking, which feels more authentic than the tourist chaos downtown.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
What works here is the combination of space, price, and that authentic Milan neighborhood experience. You’re not paying premium rates for a tiny hotel room in Brera — instead, you get an actual apartment where you can spread out, cook if you want, and experience how regular Milanese people actually live. The 7.8 rating makes sense because it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. It’s not fancy, but it’s honest, comfortable, and gives you a different perspective on the city than you’d get staying in the obvious tourist areas.
Apartments in Milan suit families with balcony windows, full kitchens, and sunset strolls through Sempione Park gardens.

Reviews of Central Maya Apartment
Passable – Schirmer from Australia – 17 September 2025 (5/10)
Location was fine.
What could be improved: Communication was very stressful. We had a very late check in and messsged many times for clarification of check in details, that is, where to get a key late at night. We had to phone the hotel and ask for further details.Very good – Motunrayo from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (8/10)
It was a nice and clean apartment
What could be improved: There was no kettle to make teaExceptional – Alayt from Rwanda – 3 January 2025 (10/10)
The receptionist was so helpful and the room was so clean.
Good – Mariann from Hungary – 17 November 2024 (7/10)
Very good location, close to M3 station, which directly takes you to Duomo. There is a 7/24 hour supermarket within 200 meters..
What could be improved: Not well maintened. The furniture is partly broken, and it is annoying that there is no tea spoon in the kitchen. With a little attention it could be much better.I loved it! – Liebzeit from Czech Republic – 3 September 2024 (10/10)
The organizer was really helpfull, he even offered to print boarding passes for us. So he was willing to go "the extra mile". Some furniture was slighly damaged when we arrived, but I guess it happens when you rent the whole appartment 🙂 -> nothing serious.
There is a restaurant accross – if you go there and there is Salma, tell her "Lukas says Hi!" 😀
There is a 24/7 shop like 50m from appartment so buying groceries is easy 😉
What could be improved: Going for the keys to the different part of town.well located, but apartment needs fixing – Tomasz from Poland – 2 January 2024 (5/10)
The apartment is well located, near the subway station. There are a couple of nice cafeterias nearby and 24/7 grocery store just round the corner. Also, there is a free of fees parking just a block away from the apt.
What could be improved: The pieces of furniture need immediate fixing. The sofa in the living room, the closet and cabinet doors and handles / drawers fall off. All these broken things can be easily fixed yet they're not, which lowers the comfort of using the apartment.Very noisy location. Air con only in living area. No lid for the kettle. Broken toilet seat. – Craig from United Kingdom – 12 October 2023 (5/10)
The laundered sheets
What could be improved: Everything is just a little brokenBad – Chaudhary from India – 5 September 2023 (1/10)
Nothing, extremely inhuman behavior.
Bug No
What could be improved: Please don't book this apartment ever. These people don't have staff an will ask for excuse everytime saying we don't have staff.
They didn't allow me enter the hotel because i was late by an hour due to delayed train.
I did reauest several time as i had old parents with me aged 70 + but they didn't allow me to stay saying they don't have staff now.
And the height is tgey charged me ebtire amount in advance and denied refund. And i just ended up pating entire amount and couldn't stay there.
