Central Station Milano Room – 1 Overview
First Impressions
Central Station Milano Room – 1 is honestly one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. I mean, when you first hear the name, you might think it’s just another budget crash pad near the train station — but you’d be wrong. This three-star spot sits right on Via Ferrante Aporti, and while it’s not fancy, there’s something genuinely welcoming about walking through those doors after a long travel day.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about staying near Stazione Centrale — most people think it’s sketchy, but this area has really cleaned up over the years. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Milan‘s main train station, which is perfect if you’re doing day trips to Lake Como or catching early trains to Florence. The neighborhood has this interesting mix of authentic trattorias and international spots (there’s a fantastic Pakistani restaurant just around the corner that locals actually go to).
The Room Experience
The room itself is pretty straightforward — clean, functional, with decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need it. Don’t expect Instagram-worthy interiors, but honestly, the bed was comfortable and the shower had proper water pressure, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed in Milan. There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the windows open properly if you prefer fresh air over air conditioning.
Getting Around Milan
What I really appreciated was how easy it is to get anywhere from here. The metro connections from Centrale are incredible — you can be in the Duomo area in about fifteen minutes, or catch the M3 line straight to the Navigli district for evening aperitivo. Plus, if you’re flying out of Malpensa, the express train leaves right from the station, so no stressing about airport transfers or expensive taxis through Milan traffic.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll brag about on social media, but it’s exactly what you need when you’re actually exploring Milan rather than hanging around your hotel all day. The staff genuinely tries to be helpful (the guy at reception gave me solid recommendations for lunch spots that weren’t tourist traps), and the whole setup just works. It’s clean, it’s safe, and you’re not paying for amenities you won’t use anyway. Sometimes that’s exactly what travel should be about.

Reviews of Central Station Milano Room – 1
It was very clean and cozy in my opinion it must have a bottle of water but there weren’t. – Panagiota from Greece – 7 November 2025 (8/10)
It was clean and cozy
What could be improved: It hadn’t a bottle of waterGood – Klaudia from Poland – 21 September 2025 (7/10)
Location – very good if you want to travel to/from Milan Central Station (to other Italian cities, Varenna, Malpensa / Bergamo airports; especially at night) and if you don’t want to spend much time inside the room.
What could be improved: Be aware in advance that room is located on -1 floor (basement) – however surprisingly it wasn’t so loud even taking into consideration short distance of pedestrian walk
& there is no fridge in the roomEven if I have recommendations I am satisfied with my stay. – Адриана from Bulgaria – 11 August 2025 (7/10)
The bed is comfortable, the WiFi is super, the room is not as noisy as I expected, we slept well, even if there's no balcony, there is a pound in the bathroom, so we managed to wash and dry our clothes, the location of the room is just perfect – near the bus station, the train station and the metro station. In the area you will find also a pizzeria with great good and prices and a supermarket as well.
What could be improved: There's a possibility to bang your head because of the wall behind the bed. The multi-Layer Grid nightstand is almoslt useless, because small things fall through. The cleaning of the bathroom could be optimized (mirror, shower cabin). The smell in the room is heavy and unpleasant, the window has to stay open, but when it does, it gets noisier.Great spot near central station – Kathryn from New Zealand – 11 July 2025 (9/10)
Great location, clean modern room and felt very secure
Good location, clean – Anongwadee from Thailand – 24 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, clean room
Very good – Tünde from Romania – 17 May 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was minutes away from the Milano Central Station. The room was small, but clean – perfect for a short stay.
Good – Milos from Serbia – 7 January 2024 (8/10)
Private bathroom
What could be improved: Check in is too late (4pm) and check out too early(9.30am). There is a possibility to delay check out for 11am but have to pay 30 euros, which is too much just for 1.5 hour.Great location and value for money for short stay – Kati from Finland – 21 November 2023 (9/10)
Very good location especially if you consider travelling around Italy and sightseeng a bit since Centrale so close. Also shops, restaurants etc near by. Great stay for few days. Great staff who let is to bring in our luggage to the room (check in earlier) before going sightseeing and available for questions. Room was clean and nice.
What could be improved: Some noises from outside and the halls from other quests, nothing major. The park accross was a bit dodgy during late evenings but that is not the fault of the accommondation. The room a bit too small maybe but no worries for two day stay.Very good – Lucie from Czech Republic – 1 October 2023 (8/10)
The location was absolutely awesome. Just a few minutes from the main station on foot. We were able to visit all the tourist places on foot except for the canals (navigli). Also the place provider is nice and helpful and called us to make sure everything is ok. The place was clean and we felt quite safe in the street even after midnight (we came late at night).
What could be improved: We were not a pair but friends and there was only a shared duvet. But it wasn’t communicated in advance.Decent place for the money – Daniela from Romania – 17 July 2023 (7/10)
Apartament was ok and pretty clean.
The AC was super useful.
What could be improved: There was a smell when we entered, so we had to keep the window open for some time to get rid of it.
Also, because it is so close to the station, it can be very noisy, especially at night, so keep this in mind when booking.
