Chic Loft Living in Via Farini caught my attention the moment I walked up to the building — it’s one of those converted industrial spaces that Milan does so well. The entrance feels more like you’re visiting a friend’s cool apartment than checking into a traditional hotel, which honestly sets the tone perfectly for what this place is all about. It’s a three-star property, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s basic.

The Neighborhood Vibe

The location in Stazione Garibaldi really works if you want to feel like you’re living in modern Milan rather than just visiting it. You’re right in the thick of the Porta Nuova district, where those gleaming skyscrapers mix with older residential streets. I mean, you can walk to the Bosco Verticale in about ten minutes, and there’s this great little market on Via Farini that locals actually use — not just tourists taking photos.

The Space Itself

The apartment I stayed in had that industrial-chic thing going on — exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and these huge windows that let in tons of light during the day. The kitchen setup was actually functional, not just for show, which came in handy when I grabbed some fresh ingredients from the nearby Carrefour. The room felt spacious enough that I didn’t feel like I was living out of a suitcase, and the WiFi was solid throughout.

Getting Around

What I really appreciated was how easy it was to move around the city from here. Garibaldi station is practically next door, so you can hop on the metro or catch one of the regional trains without any hassle. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in this area — I’d honestly recommend just using public transport or walking when possible. The Navigli district is about a 20-minute walk, and it’s actually a pretty pleasant stroll through some interesting neighborhoods.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea — if you want traditional hotel service with someone to carry your bags and turn down your bed, you’ll want to look elsewhere. But if you’re the type who likes having your own space and exploring Milan like you actually live here, this place hits the mark. The value is solid for what you get, especially considering you’re staying in one of the city’s most dynamic areas without paying those premium hotel prices.

  La posizione ottima, poco rumore del traffico.

  What could be improved: A parte i 5 piani di scale , ma lì è errore mio, problemi con l acqua calda e il riscaldamento inesistente in bagno e solo con pompa di calore nella stanza.
  Nessun asciugamano da cucina, e se per caso vuoi mangiare non esiste un vero e proprio tavolo ma un tavolino basso .
  Per ridare le chiavi al tipo del mini market ho aspettato 5 minuti, tutto aperto e non un' anima e visto che pioveva e il taxi mi aspettava ho lasciato le chiavi sul tavolo…un po' più di organizzazione e responsabilità…

  What could be improved: The room was not well clean before we arrive, used towel hanging from the cupboard doors, untidy bed linen, unfinished food in the fridge, unthrown rubbish in the bin. Contacted the host about the room condition and the host send the cleaners over, wasted more then 1 hour waiting for the room to be tidy.
  Uncomfortable bed which has sink inwards from long usage, time to change the bed.
  Very poor sound insulation from surrounding. Have to climb 6th floor without lift.

  What could be improved: Estábamos cenando y se me cayó la mesa del comedor encima, porque se había roto una pata, cuando fui a arreglarla para ponerla nos dimos cuenta que ya estaba rota de antes y la habían pegado con celo, demasiado duró la mesa de pie para lo grande que era. Si os molesta el ruido por la noche, no es vuestro alojamiento, aún durmiendo con tapones se escuchaba todo, es un ático con ventanas en todo el techo y que da a una vía muy transitada y había muchísimo ruido. Además es un quinto o sexto piso sin ascensor y se hace largo.
