Clerici Boutique Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Clerici Boutique Hotel feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the heart of Milan. The entrance on Via Clerici is understated — you could easily walk past it if you weren’t looking. But honestly, that’s part of its charm. This four-star boutique property sits in one of Milan’s most elegant historic buildings, and the moment you step inside, you realize you’ve found something special.

Location & Neighborhood

You’re literally in the thick of everything here — La Scala is a three-minute walk, and the Duomo is close enough that you’ll probably end up there multiple times without even planning it. What I love about this spot is that Via Clerici itself is this quiet little street tucked between the main tourist chaos, so you get the best of both worlds. The Quadrilatero della Moda (that’s Milan’s fashion quadrangle) is right around the corner, which means some serious window shopping if you’re into that sort of thing.

The Room Experience

The rooms here are what you’d expect from a thoughtfully designed boutique hotel — not huge, but cleverly laid out with rich fabrics and marble accents that feel authentically Milanese. My room had these gorgeous high ceilings and original architectural details that reminded me why I love staying in converted historic buildings. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with quality fixtures and that satisfying hotel shower pressure you always hope for but don’t always get.

Dining & Daily Rhythms

The breakfast situation is solid — they serve it in a cozy space that feels more like someone’s elegant dining room than a hotel restaurant. It’s continental style with good coffee (this is Italy, after all) and fresh pastries that actually taste like they came from a local bakery. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to remember guests’ preferences after just a day or two — that kind of personal attention you don’t get at bigger properties.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s the thing about Clerici — it strikes that perfect balance between intimate boutique charm and professional service. The staff genuinely knows Milan and will point you toward spots that aren’t in every guidebook. There’s no spa or flashy amenities, but there’s something to be said for a hotel that focuses on doing the fundamentals really well. You’re paying for location, style, and that distinctly Italian approach to hospitality where they treat you like a welcome guest rather than just another booking number.

Reviews of Clerici Boutique Hotel

  • Very good – Farah from Egypt – 12 November 2025 (8/10)

Everything was great, very clean and staff is nice. Location is amazing, at the beginning I thought the narrow alley was uncomfortable but was quite safe to be honest!

What could be improved: The windows let too much noise in, not sealed well so we woke up so many times during the night (trash trucks were specially too loud). Several mosquitoes in the room I don’t know there weren’t that many trees around the hotel. They could also make a bigger storage rooms for the luggages as they were strict with check in at 2ish pm

  • Superb – Fabio from Italy – 4 November 2025 (9/10)

Central and pretty big rooms available

What could be improved: MAINTENENCE, breakfast, receptionist..

  • Fantastic location, well appointed hotel. – Johann from Australia – 28 July 2025 (9/10)

Great hotel, in a fantastic location, not sure there are too many hotels in a better location than this one other than the higher end of town ones. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms well appointed, great air conditioning (we visited in summer and it was hot), 24 hour reception and staff were friendly and helpful.

  • Milanese gem! – Chandra from Switzerland – 29 May 2025 (8/10)

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the location was exceptional. Easy walk to the Duomo and restaurants. Breakfast was perfect for fuel to hit the road in the morning.

What could be improved: Rooms were a little dark and there was some construction at the time of my stay. But for the 1 night spent there it was not an issue.

  • Great – Faruk from Austria – 13 May 2025 (9/10)

Perfect designed rooms, super comfortable ,new and clean. Perfect location, five minutes walking distance to Duomo.
Super friendly and helpful staff, especially the night shift receptionist guy (I forgot his name, might be Antonio), amazing personality, super helpful and super friendly. I need to check out by very early morning 2.30 AM and she helped me a lot, with his super energy!

What could be improved: location is perfect, but since it is in city center, during night, there might be some noise

  • Cozy very central hotel. – Christina from Greece – 28 February 2025 (8/10)

    Location , breakfast and staff

What could be improved: There was construction work next door and we were waking up very early. There was very low water pressure in one of the rooms.

  • Very good – Nicole from Australia – 30 January 2025 (8/10)
