CSI Group – Hotel Metropoli Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to CSI Group – Hotel Metropoli, you’ll immediately notice how the building feels distinctly Milanese — solid, no-nonsense, with that particular Italian approach to hospitality that’s warm without being flashy. It’s tucked right on Via Sammartini, which honestly is one of those streets that locals know well but tourists often stumble upon by accident. The entrance has this understated charm that I actually prefer over some of the flashier places in the city center.
The Perfect Base Near Centrale
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a three-minute walk from Milano Centrale station, but you’re not dealing with the chaos that comes with being right on top of it. The Porta Garibaldi area has this interesting mix of business travelers and locals, so you get a real sense of how Milan actually functions. There’s a decent grocery store around the corner, and honestly, the coffee bar next door serves better espresso than half the tourist traps near the Duomo.
The Room Experience
The rooms at this three-star hotel are what I’d call “smartly designed” — they’ve managed to fit everything you need without making you feel cramped. My room had this efficient layout that reminded me why Italian design works so well; every inch serves a purpose. The beds are comfortable enough that I actually slept through the night (which, if you know Milan’s street noise, is saying something), and the bathroom was spotless with decent water pressure.
Daily Rhythms and Dining
Breakfast happens in a bright space on the ground floor, and while it’s not going to blow your mind, it covers all the essentials — good coffee, fresh cornetti, and enough variety to get your day started properly. What I really appreciated was the timing flexibility; they understand that not everyone operates on the same schedule. The staff at the front desk pointed me toward this little family-run restaurant about two blocks away that serves incredible risotto — the kind of local knowledge that makes a difference.
Why Guests Love It
You know what makes Hotel Metropoli work? It’s honest about what it is. This isn’t trying to be a design hotel or a budget crash pad — it’s a solid, reliable place that gets the fundamentals right. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider that guests consistently mention the cleanliness, the helpful staff, and how easy it makes getting around the city. For the price point, especially in Milan where accommodation costs can get ridiculous, it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need rather than what travel magazines say they should want.

Reviews of CSI Group – Hotel Metropoli
I will come back! – Alicja from Poland – 27 November 2025 (9/10)
A perfect place for one or two nights. The location is ideal for anyone leaving early or arriving late in Milan—right next to the train station and the airport bus stop. You can even walk to the Duomo (a longer walk, but manageable). There’s also a great spot for breakfast inside the station. Highly recommended.

Clean and conveniently located near Milan Central Station.
What could be improved: We stayed as two people, but there was only one set of towels in the room. When we mentioned it, they gave us another one right away.
The elevator is old and small, so it’s not suitable for people with a lot of luggage.
