Golden Milano Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Golden Milano Hotel, you immediately notice it’s not trying to be something it isn’t — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star property on Via Carlo Goldoni has a straightforward, welcoming vibe that puts you at ease right away. The lobby is clean and modern without being flashy, and the staff actually seems genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions.
The Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in a real Milan neighborhood, not some tourist bubble. Via Carlo Goldoni sits in the Porta Garibaldi area, which means you’ve got authentic trattorias within walking distance and locals going about their daily business. The Porta Garibaldi train station is maybe a 10-minute walk, so getting to the city center or catching trains to other cities is actually pretty simple. You know what’s great? There’s a small market just around the corner where you can grab fresh fruit or a quick espresso without paying hotel prices.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star — comfortable bed, decent-sized bathroom, and everything worked properly. Nothing fancy, but clean and functional with air conditioning that actually cools the space (crucial in Milan summers, trust me). The windows open wide, which I appreciate since some hotels seal you in completely. There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough for video calls if you’re mixing business with travel.
Practical Matters
Breakfast happens in a bright dining area downstairs — it’s a typical continental spread with decent coffee, fresh pastries, and the usual suspects like yogurt and cold cuts. Won’t change your life, but it gets the job done and saves you from hunting down breakfast in an unfamiliar area. The front desk operates 24 hours, which came in handy when my flight was delayed and I arrived well past midnight. They also helped me figure out the best route to the Navigli district for dinner, complete with a hand-drawn map.
Why Guests Return
Look, Golden Milano Hotel isn’t going to wow you with marble bathrooms or a rooftop pool, but it does something more valuable — it gives you a comfortable base to explore Milan without breaking your budget. The location puts you close enough to everything that matters while keeping you away from the chaos of the city center. I mean, you can walk to Corso Buenos Aires for shopping or catch the metro to the Duomo in under 30 minutes. For the price point, you’re getting honest value and a staff that genuinely cares about your stay going smoothly.

Reviews of Golden Milano Hotel
Superb – Mario from Cyprus – 12 November 2025 (9/10)
A little too small even for a solo traveller but nonetheless very good value for money
Silent neighborhood not far from center at reasonable price. – Arnis from Latvia – 12 November 2025 (9/10)
Clean room and bathroom, but was smelling chlorine at the beginning. Very comfortable bed. Fridge in the room, but no minibar. Fair breakfast, good coffee. Friendly staff, private parking. Great location, not far from center, next to the metro station, food store nearby and some restaurants.
What could be improved: Change to a cleaner that doesn't smell so much like chlorine!Great service and location – Stephanie from New Zealand – 11 November 2025 (8/10)
Very clean, nice bathroom, balcony out to courtyard below. Location was easy to get to metro just 5 mins walk away
What could be improved: Thin walls when the neighbours above are loud and if fellow travellers are noisy going to their roomsNice place, would come again. – D from Croatia – 10 November 2025 (7/10)
Very close to the metro, nice restaurant and a grocery store a few minutes away.
Friendly staff.
What could be improved: Smell from the bathroom sink or maybe shower. Shower a bit small.Very good – Wojciech from Poland – 5 October 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is located in a good location on the very quiet street. Walking distance to bus station and a subway station. Quick and efficient check in process with the friendly staff member.
Stayed in a nice single room on the 4th floor. Access to the floor trough the stairway or the elevator. Quite hours in effect however can be noisy. It is not hotel`s fault but some other guests who dont respect others when checking out very early morning to get early flight out of Milan, The room itself was quite spacious as for the single room . Good bed and a clean linen mattress not stained, Also in the room small fridge a desk bedside cabinet and a wardrobe. Air condition in full operational order. Spacious bathroom with a shower cabin. Nice warm water with almost no time to wait and also a good water pressure. Pictures on booking website reflect the actual condition. Considering location and a room itself it is a good value for money. If you dont look for any fireworks and wanna save a bit on the pricey Milan accommodation this is a place for you.Superb – Edanur from Hungary – 22 September 2025 (9/10)
Comfortable beds, AC, fridge, hairdryer etc so everything you need
What could be improved: Not that much close to centerVery good – Ibrahim from Germany – 16 September 2025 (8/10)
The price
What could be improved: The elevator is too small and oldSuperb – Ioannis from Greece – 1 September 2025 (9/10)
staff was very friendly, location very comfortable for trains and metro
What could be improved: the ac was a bit underpowered for the room and there was a smell coming from the drain in the bathroom, but could have been because there was too much rainWe overall enjoyed our stay, the staff at the reception were really nice and the location was everything we wanted – Anna from Slovakia – 24 August 2025 (9/10)
We were really happy with the air conditioning working there flawlessly. It was also at a rather good location, since there was public transportation stops quite near.
What could be improved: We visited in August, and the rumors of locals not being there happened to be true 😀 we had a hard time finding a cafe or bakery open in the morning. Since it was a few stops from the tourist center, the area felt quite empty. But I’m sure it was only due to it being in August and the weekdays.Only stayed one night, but it was comfortable, clean and quiet with accommodating receptionist. – Paul from United Kingdom – 7 August 2025 (9/10)
Clean & comfortable. Allowed us to keep our baggage there after check out before our onward journey time.
