Via Venini might not ring a bell if you’re not familiar with Milan, but here’s what matters — you’re in Porta Garibaldi, which means you’re actually well-positioned without paying city center prices. The Porta Garibaldi train station is about a 10-minute walk, and from there you can reach the Duomo in just two stops on the metro. I mean, you could walk to Corso Buenos Aires for shopping if you’re feeling ambitious, but the public transport connections make everything accessible.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — typical for Milan, really. Everything felt fresh and clean, with decent air conditioning (crucial during summer visits). The bathroom was modern and functional, though don’t expect a lot of counter space for all your toiletries. What I appreciated most was the attention to details like proper reading lights and enough outlets for your devices — small things that matter when you’re actually living in the space.

Practical Amenities

There’s a small restaurant on-site that serves breakfast and basic meals, which comes in handy when you don’t feel like venturing out. The staff there actually knows the neighborhood well — they pointed me toward a fantastic local trattoria just around the corner that I never would have found otherwise. Parking can be arranged, though like anywhere in Milan, it comes at a premium and needs to be booked ahead.

The staff is genuinely helpful (they sorted out a late check-in for me without any fuss), and the neighborhood gives you a taste of how locals actually live. You know what I found refreshing? The lack of tourist crowds right outside your door, yet you’re still close enough to everything that matters in the city.

  There were 4 adults . Room & bathroom were a decent size so room to move and have 4 cases. Plenty of towels.
  Was good to have a top sheet as weather was warm. (Have found lately other hotels don't have them). Was a decent breakfast and staff friendly
