Duomo Heartbeat Studio – Via Disciplini Overview
First Impressions
Duomo Heartbeat Studio – Via Disciplini sits on a narrow street that most tourists walk right past without noticing — which is actually perfect if you ask me. The building itself is typically Milanese, with those classic shuttered windows and a small entrance that you might miss if you’re not looking for the number 12. It’s a three-star place, and honestly, it knows exactly what it is without trying to be something fancy.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about Via Disciplini — you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Duomo, but you’re tucked away from the madness of the main tourist drag. Milan‘s city center can be overwhelming, especially around the cathedral area, but this little street stays surprisingly quiet even during peak season. You’ve got the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana just around the corner, and you can actually walk to La Scala in about eight minutes without fighting through crowds the entire way.
The Studio Space
The room is compact — I mean, really compact — but it’s thoughtfully designed in that Italian way where every centimeter counts. You get a proper bed (not some fold-out situation), a small desk area, and a tiny kitchenette that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Esselunga nearby. The bathroom is small but modern, and the shower has decent water pressure, which honestly can’t be taken for granted in these old Milan buildings.
Practical Details
The Wi-Fi works well — I was able to video call without issues, and the air conditioning is a lifesaver during Milan’s sticky summers. There’s no restaurant or breakfast service, but that’s not really the point of this place. The staff is minimal but helpful when you need them, and they speak enough English to sort out any problems. The building has an elevator, which you’ll appreciate after a long day walking around the city.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t where you come for Instagram photos or fancy amenities. It’s where you stay when you want to be right in the heart of Milan without paying five-star prices or dealing with giant tour groups in your lobby. The location really can’t be beat — you can walk to most major sites, the metro is close, and you’re surrounded by actual Milanese life rather than just tourist traps. For the price point and that prime city center spot, it delivers exactly what it promises.
Milan’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike paths to hidden Leonardo da Vinci sites.

Good overall – Thomas from United Kingdom – 12 November 2025 (9/10)
Apartment excellent location great facilties good
What could be improved: Code sent in email couldn't get us into apartment had to do it remotely after ringing up helpdesk
Step into bathroom not in ideal place wife tripped over a few times!Ticked all the boxes location , comfort and great transport links. – Martelle from United Kingdom – 9 November 2025 (10/10)
My stay in Milan was absolutely perfect! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a great visit. The location was ideal and made it easy to explore the city. The only small suggestion I’d make is to label the keys for the different doors that would make things just a bit more convenient. Overall, a wonderful experience that I’d definitely recommend and would love to stay again!
What could be improved: The only small suggestion I’d make is to label the keys for the different doors that would make things just a bit more convenientGood for a quick stay – Olivia from Spain – 1 November 2025 (8/10)
It was OK. The best thing – location, in a very nice neighbourhood. There was coffee provided, nice and big bathroom.
What could be improved: That it was on the ground floor or even a little bit basement. Dark inside.Superb – Kolin from Georgia – 22 August 2025 (9/10)
🥰
What could be improved: .Very good – Jasmine from Australia – 1 July 2025 (8/10)
It was new and modern with everything we needed. Good proximity to the duomo.
What could be improved: The hot water ran out extremely quickly. Bed was uneven and slightly broken – made for quite an uncomfortable sleep. There was only a sheet on the bed and a duvet in the wardrobe, when we put it on the bed there was a huge yellow stain on it!Nice location but no privacy or silence – Antonia from Romania – 3 June 2025 (7/10)
Located in a very good area
What could be improved: Very thin walls and you can hear everything in the night from everyone. Might not let you fall asleep. Also, the window had some courtains, but still, people could see in your dormitory. That leads to 0 privacy. If you have trouble falling asleep, make sure to have some earplugs.Great value for where you stayed – Stefanie from Canada – 6 May 2025 (8/10)
Close to the Cathedral . Easy access to everything
What could be improved: It would have been nice to have little things like a bottle of water, shower gel , soap, washing powder . That would have made the stay exceptional.Superb – Muhammad from Italy – 7 April 2025 (9/10)
Everything was perfect. Apart from the second night where some immature couple ruined our sleep with loud music and talking at 2 am in the morning (contrary to quiet hours mentioned in the booking and which should be respected). Secondly, key pick/drop location is different from the apartment location. So need to go to a different place even to pick and drop the key which is very difficult if you have luggage.
Perfect 5 minutes to Duomo – Krzysztof from Poland – 6 November 2024 (9/10)
perfect location, pretty spacious bathroom, comfortable, clean, great host communication
What could be improved: lack of checkin/checkout flexibility due to the system with online door lock (vikey)It was ok, could have been better. Certain items of comfort missing – Lilian from United Kingdom – 29 April 2024 (7/10)
I liked the distance to Milan centre and also quiet street
What could be improved: I didn’t like the fact that the room didn’t have a door
I didn’t like that there wasn’t any washing up liquid
I didn’t like the fact that simple things like salt and pepper wasn’t present in the cabinet
We experienced a blackout and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. It took us time to figure it out. All the numbers we called was not reachable
