Easylife – Milano – G Emiliani 1 115 – Porta Romana Overview

First Impressions

Easylife – Milano – G Emiliani 1 115 – Porta Romana sits on a quiet residential street that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re still absolutely in the heart of things. The building itself has that understated Milanese charm — nothing flashy, but clean lines and a welcoming entrance that immediately puts you at ease. I mean, the name says it all really — this place is about making your stay simple and comfortable without any unnecessary fuss.

Location & Neighborhood

Porta Romana is honestly one of Milan’s best-kept secrets for travelers who want to experience the city like locals do. You’re a pleasant walk from the Navigli canals where the evening aperitivo scene is legendary, and the Bocconi University area brings a youthful energy to the neighborhood. What I really appreciate is how easy it is to hop on public transport — the yellow metro line connects you directly to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes, but you’ll find plenty of authentic trattorias and cafes right in your backyard.

The Accommodation

The apartment setup here is what sets this three-star property apart from typical hotel rooms. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette — and I’m talking about actual cooking space, not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. The furnishings are modern and practical, with enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. Storage is generous too, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere longer than a quick overnight.

Practical Amenities

Having your own kitchen means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and prepare simple meals — something that saves money and lets you experience Milan’s incredible food culture from a different angle. The Wi-Fi is reliable throughout, and there’s decent parking available if you’re driving (though honestly, you won’t need a car much in this area). The building stays quiet even though you’re in an active neighborhood, which speaks to the quality of the construction and the type of guests this place attracts.

Why Guests Love It

You know what really works about this place? It strikes that perfect balance between independence and support — you get the freedom of having your own space, but there’s still someone to help if you need local recommendations or assistance. The value proposition is excellent for Milan standards, especially considering you’re getting apartment-style living in such a well-connected area. It’s the kind of place where you can actually imagine living temporarily rather than just passing through, and that makes all the difference in how your trip feels.

Reviews of Easylife – Milano – G Emiliani 1 115 – Porta Romana

  • A really nice experience – Anca from Romania – 11 July 2025 (10/10)

The apartment is well equipped, clean and close to the center. We appreciated the comfort, the good communication with the owner, the coffee pods and the water bottles left for us in the fridge. It was a nice experience overall.

What could be improved: A little bit noisy, because it's near the street, but, if you're tired like we were, this shouldn't be a big inconvenience.

  • Exceptional – Harrison from United Kingdom – 9 April 2025 (10/10)

Clean modern accommodation. In a great location for either walking or using the public transport to get in and around Milan. Highly recommend!

  • Generally a good stay – Lara from Australia – 20 January 2025 (7/10)

The location was great, generally clean facilities. Easy check in and out procedure. All round a good stay.

What could be improved: We lost power during cooking and then eating dinner, and fixed it ourselves (though they were responsive via message, we had to figure out the various switchboards which were outside the apartment beforehand). There was also no dishwashing liquid or toiletries – you don't always expect it to be stocked but just a starter kit / a few pods is appreciated.

The apartment smelt a bit like a bathroom and the dishwasher smelt quite terrible. Could be an issue with the plumbing or filter system inside.

Some of the pots/pans are not induction compatible.

  • La Dolce Vita … – Mohamed from Italy – 10 August 2024 (10/10)

the location was perfect , the atmosphere was cool

What could be improved: my last day

  • Great stay for the price, loved the location! – Dragana from Serbia – 6 April 2024 (10/10)

Great location and very easy access. Close to the metro station and public transport but also on walkable distance to Duomo and other attractions. Communication with owner is very easy and everything explained very well. It's a self check-in property which allowed us to check in very late since our fight was delayed (we arrived after 11pm, and checked in without any issues).
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Everything is new and in great condition. Fully equipped kitchen, with cooking essentials and coffee machine (coffee pods included). We didn't cook but there are enough pots and pans. Bathroom is clean with enough toiletries and towels. Bed comfortable and good amount of storage space.

What could be improved: The street is very busy at all times and windows can use better insulation. It was quite noisy during the night, which we didn't particularly mind but something to consider if you are sensitive to noise.

  • Modern with great location and staff.but noisy at night due to traffic and poor windows – Dylan from Ireland – 24 August 2023 (7/10)

    Modern facilities,good area,good staff

What could be improved: Very noisy at night with traffic. The windows didn't block any noise.
Not the cleanest place I've stayed in but over all it was still a very nice stay and the staff where very helpful

  • Fantastic apartment with the perfect location – Sandra from United States – 16 May 2023 (8/10)

Fantastic location. In between two stations and a team line. The station line takes you to most attractions. Restaurants and grocery stores close by. You should get food from Giannis. Very cheap and tasty. The flat was nice and had almost everything we needed. Wifi was good and worked well. We would definitely be staying here on our next trip if available.

What could be improved: A few handles seem to be falling apart.

  • It was a good stay, quite centrally in Milan, but fairly expensive. – Joost from Netherlands – 25 April 2023 (7/10)

contact with rental company was good, timely answers via mail and Whatsapp. Apartment was clean and in good location, close to metro, tram and supermarket.

What could be improved: The price per nights was very high (that why the score is only 7). It was also slightly hard to find (suggestion to add "Elf Teatro" to the instructions) and no option to have a luggage drop off. We did get the information to arrange luggage drop off ourselves, but for this kind of money, I would expect it to be arranged by the rental company

  • good for a short stay in the city, would use again – Joe from United Kingdom – 10 February 2023 (7/10)

good location, very clean and modern, enough space for two people

  • Good location, warm during winter, but noisy at night – Claudiuu30 from Romania – 25 January 2023 (7/10)

Good location, close to Metro stations, many stores around and places to eat. Warm flat during the winter, good wi-fi, good elevator.

What could be improved: Very noisy during the night due to traffic (bad windows), lack of bathroom accessories (paper holder, soap holder, very little liquid soap).
The main issue was that when I booked the apartment, I chose the option to pay at the property, but my card was debited a few days before (at first for 383e instead of 347 – explanation was due to not checking in on their site, but the link was sent 2 days after), so bad communication. I called 3 times at the provided phone, but no answer. However, they communicate by messages. All the info can be added in 1 message instead of 10. The heating unit had an error and needed reset twice during my stay.
