I mean, you can actually sit next to Milanese heading to work instead of just other travelers.

What Your Room Offers

The room I stayed in was clean and functional — think modern IKEA meets Italian practicality. Each unit comes with a small kitchenette, which honestly saved me quite a bit of money during my stay. The bed was comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The WiFi worked well, though the walls are a bit thin, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re early risers.

Getting Around and Practical Stuff

The Porta Romana metro stop is maybe a seven-minute walk — not the closest I’ve experienced, but totally manageable with luggage. What I really appreciated was having a small grocery store practically next door, plus there’s street parking if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan (though I wouldn’t recommend it). The front desk staff speaks decent English and helped me figure out the best metro routes, which was genuinely helpful.

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors. But if you want a clean, affordable base in a neighborhood that actually feels like Milan — rather than tourist Milan — it works really well. The kitchenette means you can grab fresh ingredients from that nearby market and make simple meals, and you’re still close enough to reach all the major sights without paying centro storico prices. It’s the kind of place that grows on you, especially if you’re planning to spend your days exploring the city rather than hanging around the hotel.

  The place is very tiny! I think that can replace a huge wardrobe with a small sofa or a bigger table. The bathroom is also very tiny! The floor is bulging in the bathroom.

  What could be improved: The door was so difficult to open!! Had to call for assistance to the letting company when we arrived after a long day of travelling trying to unlock a door for 30 minutes isnt ideal. Every time we left was a struggle to open on return.

  The property was very stylish was a 6 min walk from the spa and there is a supermarket 3 min walk which was perfect the host had left us a little bottle of washing up liquid which was handy and a nice little touch. There was no iron in the property but the host kindly dropped one off.
  
  What could be improved: There was no cushion in the balcony as shown in the picture that was the only down fall as we like to read so would have been nice.

  I tried to contact the owner for more than 2 hours before being able to have an answer from someone.
  They didn’t not even apologise, just gave me an apartment 15 min away from the one booked and ghosted me ever since. No partial refund offered, no apologies, no communication. AVOID AT ALL COST
