There’s a decent pizzeria around the corner (the kind where locals go), and you’ll find a small grocery store for basics without hunting around.

The Room Experience

My room was simple but clean — think IKEA meets Italian practicality. The bed was comfortable enough, and they’d clearly put some thought into storage space, which matters when you’re living out of a suitcase. The bathroom was compact but functional, with good water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older buildings). What I appreciated was the attention to small details — decent lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, that sort of thing.

Daily Rhythms

Breakfast is continental style and served in a small common area — nothing fancy, but the coffee is proper Italian and the pastries are fresh. The staff runs things efficiently without being overly chatty, which works if you’re not a morning person. They’ll give you practical advice about getting around the city, and I found them genuinely helpful when I needed directions to some off-the-beaten-path places.

  What could be improved: No usable windows in the unit, and no smoking on the property including the courtyard, means we had to go out to the street at night, not the most comfortable experience. Milan traffic makes this almost 30 minutes from the city center.

  It was very easy to find, the instructions to access where very clear. The room was very clean, it had clean towels. It was about 10 min walk from metro station. It was quiet in that area and easy to sleep.
  
  What could be improved: Problem with the internet, I managed to connect but no internet was. I contacted the property on booking but didn't received any answer about my problem. Also there was no dishes, glasses nor forks or spoons.

  It was very clean. Location is close to a station with the main line going to Downtown. It's a quant little area just in the outskirts of Downtown. There are nice places such as restaurants and the store just 15 minutes away walking. Soap was provided. It's small and perfect for couples or solo travelers for the price. There was a very nice man who lived above us to lets us through the main hall. Towels and soap are provided with comfy bed. But not the ac remote lol. Hairdryers are too.
  
  What could be improved: For some reason, it was very humid and the humidity stays in the room. It was hard to get to contact the property. The first day was complicated. We had to go through 3 different doors with 3 different locks. They did not specify which of the rooms we were in. We could not find the AC remote and they did not reply. We found out we had to use a step stool to manually start the AC while we cannot change the temperature either. They said they will be available from a certain time but we had a few questions and they never replied even through Whatsapp, call and through booking.com.

  Great neighborhood, easily accessible via train and busses. Markets and restaurants was nearby. Kind and helpful staff. Toilet and baths quality was beyond expected.
  
  What could be improved: Room was too small and has not had the some basics. In the room we stayed in, the fresh air flow from outside was not enough because the window was also too small.

  I liked the option of self check in and how the apartment was clean and warm. Also i liked the location, it's so simple to go to the center. And the smell of the building was so beautiful 😍.
  
  What could be improved: I didn't like the noise of the main door (of the building) and that i could hear people from another apartment. And i think that it would be great to have refrigerator in the apartment.

  What could be improved: I can’t turn radiator on. It won’t turn on despite advice of host. Only once, the building door won’t open . The paper on the door says push to open but actually pull to open. It also won’t open despite advice of the host. Other guests opened the door for me.
  I truly recommend this hostel those who get used to European style residence.

  The location is just one train ride to Duomo Milan.
  As for the room, it was big and clean.
  Just a suggestion and if it's not too much to ask, maybe you can put 1 bottled water before check-in
