Goldoni House – Duomo 2 K m – Porta Venezia – Linate Overview
First Impressions
Goldoni House – Duomo 2 K m – Porta Venezia – Linate sits on a quiet residential street that feels authentically Milanese — you know, the kind where locals walk their dogs and grab morning coffee at the corner bar. The building itself has that understated elegance you find throughout this part of Milan, and honestly, I was impressed by how well-maintained everything looked from the moment I walked up.
Perfect Positioning
What really struck me about the location is how it balances being residential with actual accessibility. You’re literally two kilometers from the Duomo (hence the name), but more importantly, you’re in the Porta Venezia area, which I’d argue is one of Milan’s most livable neighborhoods. The Porta Venezia metro station is close enough that getting around the city is actually straightforward, and if you’re flying through Linate — well, that’s probably the easiest airport transfer you’ll have in any major European city.
The Space Itself
The apartment feels like staying in someone’s carefully curated Milan home rather than a typical hotel room. I mean, there’s a proper kitchen with everything you’d need if you want to shop at the local markets and cook something up. The “piano rialzato” designation means you’re on the mezzanine level, so you get decent natural light without the noise of being right on the street. The whole place has this four-star attention to detail without feeling overly formal.
Living Like a Local
Here’s what I really appreciated — you’re positioned to experience Milan the way people actually live here. There’s a fantastic restaurant scene within walking distance, from traditional Milanese spots to some newer places that locals actually frequent. The Indro Montanelli gardens are right there when you need a break from the city buzz, and you’ll find yourself naturally falling into the rhythm of aperitivo culture since this area has some genuinely good bars that aren’t tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.8 rating makes sense once you’ve spent a night or two here. It’s the combination of having your own space with a proper base for exploring Milan, plus being in a neighborhood that feels real rather than touristy. The parking situation is also better than most places in central Milan if you’re driving, though honestly, you probably won’t need a car much. What really sealed it for me was how quiet it gets at night — you can actually sleep well here, which isn’t something I’d say about every accommodation in Milan.

The location is near the train station so accessible to places. The actual accomodation is very nice, clean and comfortable to live at as it is very secured. Air-conditioned, neat, and we'll maintained. Tv has Netflix and YouTube so good for family after a day's out.

There's nothing not to like, in fact, we have not had a better experience before. The entire apartment gives you a feeling like you have a home in Milan. After a full day of exploring, coming "home" to Goldoni House gave us a much needed balance to the hectic schedules of touring chaotic places that are so famous but way too crowded. Goldoni House was our place of chill, calm, and relaxation (AMAZING shower, Super-Comfortable beds). Superior quality kitchen appliances and absolutely clean space that truly creates peace and joy for a traveller.
The courtyard outside is so pretty and has gorgeous trees. The host, Michele was ever so kind and super efficient in communicating right from the moment we booked this pretty apartment. I am in awe of the interior deco and design – beautifully done with modern chic eclectic art and lamps. We had the best 4 nights in Milan and it was only because we had our Milano "home" away from home to recharge ourselves for our busy days.Exceptional – Andrea from Italy – 25 May 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Directions to get in were a bit of a challenge just because we didn’t really know we had to push the button that was on the top of the directionsEverything was great. – Alina from United Kingdom – 1 May 2025 (10/10)
The flat was fresh, stylish, and comfortably clean. Communication with the manager was excellent. The location is superb, within easy walking distance of main attractions and filled with local charm. A real bonus was the exceptional Italian restaurant, just an 8-minute walk away – truly one of the best in Milan!
