Via Paolo Sarpi transforms completely during the day with street vendors and authentic restaurants that locals actually frequent. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to the Duomo, but honestly, being slightly off the beaten path means you’ll pay less for everything from coffee to dinner.

The Space Itself

The room I stayed in was larger than most hotel rooms you’d get for the same price in central Milan — actually felt like a proper apartment setup. There’s a functional kitchenette that’s genuinely useful if you want to grab groceries from the local markets (and trust me, the produce here is fantastic). The WiFi works well, which matters if you’re trying to plan your days or work remotely, and the whole place feels clean without being overly corporate.

Getting Around

The Moscova metro stop is about a seven-minute walk away, which connects you to the green line — honestly one of the most useful lines for hitting the major sights. What surprised me was how quiet the street gets at night despite being in such a central area. You know what’s also nice? There’s actual parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan, though I’d skip the car entirely and just use public transport.

This three-star spot works because it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not — it’s practical, well-located, and gives you a real taste of Milan beyond the tourist areas. The price point makes sense for what you get, especially considering you’re still within easy reach of everything important. I mean, you could spend twice as much to be right next to the Duomo, but then you’d miss out on wandering through one of Milan’s most authentic neighborhoods.   Door code for door access was a little complicated – but a great idea and did work.

  What could be improved: Acomoda bem 4 pessoas pois o terceiro quarto é no porão sem janelas e com cheiro forte de mofo, o banheiro de um dos quartos estava com o chuveiro quebrado então todos (5) usamos um só porque na realidade existem apenas dois banheiros e não tres como anunciado. Quando chegamos o cheiro de mofo no apartamento era muito forte, o local tem muito barulho dos apartamentos de cima, crianças que correm até tarde, máquina de lavar roupa nos horários de sono e em frente tem um bar que funciona até tarde. Portanto não é um local para você descansar dos passeios.

  Spacious apartment with charm and excellent and safe location. Restaurants, grocery and shops are right outside or a short walk. The beds are comfortable. Everything was very clean. Silvio was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend it!
