The Sempione area feels more like actual Milan — there’s a great local market just a few blocks away, and you can walk to Parco Sempione in about ten minutes. The metro connections are solid too, so getting to the Duomo or the fashion district is straightforward.

The neighborhood has this nice mix of residential calm and urban energy. I mean, you’ll find proper Italian coffee bars where locals actually go, not just the touristy spots that charge you three times as much for the same espresso.

What Your Room Actually Delivers

The rooms here are — well, they’re good rooms, just like the name promises. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly. The beds are comfortable (which isn’t always a given in Milan), the bathrooms are modern enough, and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. Each room has air conditioning that actually functions, which you’ll appreciate during those sticky summer months.

What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re still in the city. The windows do a solid job of keeping street noise out, and the building itself doesn’t seem to carry sound between floors like some older Milan hotels do.

Practical Details That Matter

The staff here speaks English well enough to handle whatever you need, and they’re genuinely helpful without being overly formal about it. There’s a small restaurant on-site that serves decent Italian basics — nothing revolutionary, but reliable if you don’t feel like venturing out after a long day of walking around the city.

They’ve got parking available, which is actually a big deal in this part of Milan if you’re driving. It’s not free, but at least you don’t have to circle the blocks looking for street parking or figure out the confusing ZTL zones.

Look, Good Rooms isn’t going to be the highlight of your Milan trip, and that’s perfectly fine. What it does is provide a solid base without drama or surprises. You check in, everything works as expected, and you can focus on exploring the city instead of dealing with hotel issues.

  We came to Milan for the Monza F1. Its the perfect location for transport links. Nice and clean big room with comfy beds. Shared tea/ coffee / biscuits in common hallway. Decent shower. Fridge in room was a bonus. Stefano was great, excellent communications. Local Bar just across the road was great for food and beers with great atmosphere. (Although you can't hear it from the room😃) Metro station just 5mins walk away which links to Main Train line in around 10 mins or takes you into Milan to explore. Would deffo stay again.   Clean, fairly big apartment, very good instruction from host about check-in and check-out. Comfortable bed, coffee and tea with snacks were nice to have in the morning. Good location.

  Very clean room, nice location quite close to the center. On site you could drink coffee and tea and eat something sweet. Bathroom clean, warm water. Great that the room had its own balcony.
