Guest Planet – Cozy housing Porta Romana M3 Overview

First Impressions

Guest Planet – Cozy housing Porta Romana M3 sits right on one of Milan‘s most authentic thoroughfares, where you’ll find locals doing their actual shopping rather than tourists posing for photos. The building itself is typical Milanese — nothing fancy from the outside, but that’s honestly part of the charm. When I first walked up Corso di Porta Romana, I appreciated how this three-star spot doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s just solid, comfortable accommodation in a neighborhood that actually feels like Milan.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re close enough to the center to walk everywhere that matters, but far enough out that you’re not paying tourist prices for your morning coffee. The Porta Romana metro stop (that M3 in the name isn’t just decoration) is practically at your doorstep, which means you can be in the Duomo area in about ten minutes. But honestly, I found myself walking more often than taking the metro because this stretch of the city has such great energy during the day.

The Space Itself

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged — exactly what you’d expect from a place that knows its audience. There’s a small kitchenette setup that’s actually useful if you want to grab groceries from the local markets and save some euros on meals. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom, while not spacious, had good water pressure (which, let’s be real, matters more than marble countertops when you’re exploring a city all day).

Daily Life Here

Mornings start with excellent coffee from the bar downstairs — and I mean actually excellent, not just “good for hotel coffee.” The staff speaks enough English to help with directions, but they’re clearly more comfortable in Italian, which somehow made the whole experience feel more authentic. There’s no formal restaurant on-site, but with Milan’s food scene literally outside your door, that’s hardly a problem. I found myself grabbing aperitivo at different spots within a few blocks’ walk each evening.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it gets the basics right without trying to impress you with amenities you won’t use. The Wi-Fi is solid, the location gives you easy access to both the metro and walkable neighborhoods, and the price point makes sense for what you’re getting. It’s the kind of spot where you sleep well, start your day with proper coffee, and spend the rest of your time exploring Milan rather than hanging around the hotel. For travelers who want to experience the city rather than hide from it, Guest Planet delivers exactly what it promises.

This is an awesome choice for Milano
If i will come back i will definitely try tomchoose this place again

Lock and unlock procedure is not complicated and so smart
    I love it ..

What could be improved: Waterflow is sometimes weak in bathroom…
    Needs more comfortable pillows

  • Exceptional – Stefan from Bulgaria – 15 June 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Too complicated with the app. It wasn't explained detailed the way of opening. Every time of entering I have to use the app instead of keys. It is better to use the app only at the check-in and check-out.

  • Superb – Arman from Turkey – 20 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location, fast WiFi, good communication with the landlords. Definitely a clean apartment.

What could be improved: Few details missing, need improvements, A mirror in the living room or by the door, small stand in the shower for amenities, few bottles of water in the fridge for courtesy and definitely better pillows.

  • Superb – Daniela from Romania – 28 January 2025 (9/10)

Well located and easy to acces , clean and warm. Bathroom and logistics

What could be improved: The bed and sofa would need some maintenance

  • Good – Desislav from Bulgaria – 8 December 2024 (7/10)

What could be improved: The pillows are very thin.

  • Perfect stay in Porta Romana – Teodora from Bulgaria – 2 December 2024 (9/10)

We had very nice stay, it was very convenient location. The check in process is easy, you need just to follow the instructions, I saw that many people already wrote comments that will help.

What could be improved: The space is a bit dark but for us wasn’t a problem for us because we didn’t spend the day there.

  • Porta Romana perfect spot. – Annette from New Zealand – 7 September 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is lovely, clean and well appointed. And is in a great location for exploring both on foot or by public transport. The metro station is nearby, as are a variety of cafés and supermarkets.

What could be improved: First thing to note is that there are some steps to get in to the building. The check in process was incorrect. The apartment door is on your right as you leave the lift and it has 'C CONCA' on the door not ALUNA as instructed. Intercom "58" is not required to open the external gate and building door (poor lady at #58 sounded annoyed to have been buzzed). And at the apartment door, the protruding lock turns RIGHT to open and LEFT to lock, not the other way around.
Thank you to our hosts for being available on WhatsApp when we called to clarify which door was our apartment.

  • We did lots of walking – Stephen from United States – 29 July 2024 (8/10)

    It had everything we needed.

What could be improved: It was hard to find and to enter. Nice neighbors helped us

  • Comfortable studio with nice location – Raven from Sweden – 20 February 2024 (9/10)

Great location and very practical size for a couple. Especially loved being close to the QC Termemilano (just a few minutes' walk away). After being able to check in a couple of hours early we spent the rest of our first day at the spa, the perfect way to unwind after traveling! Happy with the amenities.

What could be improved: Check out is at 10am, not 11am as is stated on Booking.com. Nowhere to leave dishes to dry.

  • Good location and cosiness – Marija from Lithuania – 30 January 2024 (9/10)

Nice and cosy apartament, good location, only 20 minutes by foot from Duomo. Small but have everything you could possibly need.

What could be improved: It was tricky to find the right doors, find the right door almost by accident.
