Hotel Ares Milano Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Ares Milano feels like discovering one of those well-kept secrets that locals don’t rush to share. It’s a three-star property that honestly punches above its weight — the lobby has this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard to be trendy. You know what I mean? Sometimes hotels either go completely sterile or overdo the “design” aspect, but this place strikes that sweet spot where you feel comfortable right away.
Location & Getting Around
The Bicocca-Zara area isn’t exactly where most tourists plant themselves, but that’s actually what makes it interesting. You’re in a real Milan neighborhood where people live and work, not just snap photos. The Zara metro station is pretty close by, which gets you to the city center in about 20 minutes — I mean, that’s nothing by Milan standards. Plus, you’ll save quite a bit compared to staying right in the Duomo area, and honestly, the authentic neighborhood feel is worth the short commute.
The Room Experience
My room was bigger than I expected, which is always a pleasant surprise in European cities. The design is contemporary but not cold — think clean lines with warm touches that make it feel lived-in rather than showroom-perfect. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not always a given at this price point), and the bathroom had good water pressure, which travelers know can make or break a stay.
Practical Perks
What I really appreciated were the thoughtful details that show someone actually thinks about what guests need. The WiFi works properly throughout the building — not just “technically available” but actually usable for work calls or streaming. There’s parking available, which is huge if you’re driving in Milan, and the staff genuinely seems to enjoy helping rather than just going through the motions. The hotel restaurant serves decent food too, nothing groundbreaking but solid options when you don’t feel like venturing out.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Hotel Ares Milano isn’t going to wow you with marble lobbies or designer everything, but it delivers exactly what most of us actually want from a hotel stay. You get a clean, comfortable base in an authentic part of the city, with staff who treat you like a person rather than a room number. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day without stress, and don’t feel like you’re being nickeled and dimed at every turn. Sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.

Reviews of Hotel Ares Milano
A good and value for money option for visiting Milan! – Ioanna from Greece – 3 October 2025 (9/10)
The room was clean. The breakfast was good with a variety of products and good coffee! The hotel is located near metro station and tram station which you can use to visit the central of the city. The staff was very very polite and willing to help you in anything you might need. An overall good and value for money experience which I definitely recommend.

A short stay at Hotel Ares Milano was comfortable for us. The offered room was spacious and the location offered good connectivity to Milan Central on Yellow Line. Overall a pleasant experience
Superb – Adrian from Romania – 27 April 2025 (9/10)
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are confortable and clean
What could be improved: -While it isnt far from Centrale F.S that gives you access to most of Milano and/or both ways towards airport, its located in a very odd area that doesnt give you a very good impression(the pic of rooms are pretty accurate but not that of the area)
– The wifi keeps cutting off so I did have to use my own mobile dataVery good – Laura from Kosovo – 26 April 2025 (8/10)
The location was good, not too far from the metro and the staff was friendly.
What could be improved: Very thin walls, you could hear everything outside like it was in your room and could hear all the noise from other rooms as well. The bed makes the room worth it. – Dazzle from United States – 8 April 2025 (7/10)
I loved the bed. Very comfortable! I highly appreciated the comfort since I was on the end of vacation and felt rough. Also, this motel does have an elevator. The female worker in the evening was very pleasant and helpful. The female worker in the morning was also very pleasant and helpful.
What could be improved: The TV didn't work at all, nor did the wifi. The male worker in the night was beyond rude when asked about this. Said there was no one to fix the TV and that the "wifi worked fine" when my husband showed him that he was connected to the wifi and that it literally didn't work at all he gave him a different sign in option, that also didn't work.Superb – Marius-costin from Romania – 7 March 2025 (9/10)
It was all good. Breakfast provided with little extra pay
What could be improved: Thin walls and loud neighbours
