Here’s what I love about the Fiera Milano area — you’re close enough to the action but far enough from the tourist chaos. The four-star hotel sits on Via Cimarosa, which is honestly one of those quiet streets that locals use as a shortcut. You’ve got the Portello metro station about a 10-minute walk away, and from there it’s a straight shot to Milan‘s center. The nearby City Life district has been transformed in recent years, so there are plenty of modern shops and cafes if you need anything.

The Room Experience

My room was smaller than what you’d find in American hotels, but that’s typical for Milan — and honestly, it was perfectly functional. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well (crucial in summer), and the bathroom was spotless. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing; despite being on a main street, I barely heard any traffic noise at night.

Dining & Amenities

The breakfast spread at the hotel’s restaurant was solid — nothing fancy, but they had fresh pastries, decent coffee, and both Italian and international options. I mean, you’re not going to write home about it, but it’ll definitely fuel your day of sightseeing. There’s also parking available, which is actually a big deal in Milan if you’re driving — though honestly, I’d recommend using public transport instead.

  This is a hotel with nice furnishings and decorations. The bathroom is completely walled and floored with marbles. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a wide range of choices.

  Very friendly staff. Already on the 2nd day during breakfast the staff remembered my room and coffee order, which is a nice detail. It was also no problem to store the luggage longer after checkout.
  The room was small, but enough to use as a hub to do you errands in the city, especially since the location is very convenient, close to both the center by metro or to the conference center nearby.
  The bathroom was cleaned and restored with new amenities every day, and the bed was comfortable to sleep on.
  The air conditioning in the room was a plus.
  
  What could be improved: Only one electronic socket available in the room (not even in the bathroom), away from the bed. If you have multiple devices to charge after a full day, it was getting a bit tricky to prioritize.
  The breakfast was quite limited in choice if you don't feel like going for a hotel-style eggs and bacon or a basic ham and cheese sandwich, and the fruit and vegetables that were available were looking not very appetizing and discolored, so not many alternatives were there.
