Hotel Lido Overview
First Impressions
Hotel Lido sits quietly on Via Riccardo Galli, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. It’s one of those unassuming three-star places that doesn’t try to wow you with a flashy lobby — just clean lines, friendly staff, and that immediate sense that they know what they’re doing. The moment you step inside, there’s this refreshing lack of pretense that I actually appreciate.
Location Perks
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in the Fiera Milano area, which means you’re close to all the business action but far enough from the tourist crowds in central Milan. The CityLife district is genuinely interesting to walk through, especially if you’re into modern architecture (those Zaha Hadid towers are something else). You can catch the metro pretty easily, and there’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, though I’d recommend just using public transport.
The Room Experience
My room was smaller than what you’d get at a chain hotel, but everything felt thoughtfully arranged. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom — well, it’s compact but functional with good water pressure. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night, which is rare for Milan. The Wi-Fi actually works properly, and there are enough outlets for your devices without having to unplug the bedside lamp.
Practical Details
Breakfast is served in a small dining area that feels more like someone’s home than a hotel restaurant. Nothing fancy — good coffee, fresh pastries, and the usual Italian breakfast suspects. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, which you notice in little ways throughout your stay. They’ll give you solid recommendations for dinner spots in the neighborhood, and I mean places locals actually go to.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Hotel Lido isn’t going to change your life or become your favorite Instagram backdrop. What it does is provide exactly what you need without any unnecessary fuss or inflated prices. If you’re in Milan for business around Fiera or just want a reliable base that won’t eat up half your travel budget, this place makes sense. It’s the kind of hotel that does its job well and lets you focus on why you’re actually in Milan.

Reviews of Hotel Lido
Great value, great staff, clean rooms – Marina from Serbia – 15 November 2025 (9/10)
The rooms were super clean, beds and pillows comfortable. We got shampoo, toothbrushes and clean towels regularly.
The breakfast was also nice, and the best thing was having a barista make you coffee for breakfast!
What could be improved: The wifi sometimes was buggyMade to feel very welcome by the staff. They were brilliant at answering my questions about recommendations and travel a – Paul from United Kingdom – 31 October 2025 (9/10)

good hotel, good money value – the piping needs to be checked, it is very loud. – Merav from Israel – 10 October 2025 (8/10)
The staff member who welcomed me was very welcoming and inviting. The hotel staff was very kind: I got the room ahead of check in time, since I had already arrived early morning with my flight.
What could be improved: the toilet drain in the room bathroom was very loud. all night long I could hear water flowing through the pipes, even when I lay in bed. It interrupted my sleep.Very good – John from United Kingdom – 5 October 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: NothingComfortable little place, very clean and in good location – Marina from Serbia – 11 August 2025 (7/10)
The cleanliness was SPOT ON, and my advice to the hotel management would be to keep these cleaners motivated and happy because they're doing an amazing job!
Room was comfortable, breakfast ok (fruit, muesli, eggs, sweets, milk – all the essentials one needs; and it's great it's open until 9:30), location good for what we needed (near stadium and very close to Lotto metro station). I must also say that the very nice lady at the chick in allowed us to get in early and also she was so helpful with advice! The staff at breakfast is great, thank you for the delicious cappuccino that kept me awake while exploring Milan! All in all excellent value and by all means I would give this hotel a 10…
What could be improved: The last evening in the hotel we patiently waited to get our keys while the young man was checking in a new guest. After 5 minutes I politely asked for the key – got ignored. By now he was chatting to the new guest about restaurants in the area and has long finished the check in. I had no other choice but to say openly that my kid needed the restroom and I would really have to get in; even the new guest was uncomfortable and said he should just give us the key. He first arrogantly responded that there's a public toilet and then turned to the lady and said in Italian that I should wait till he's finished talking.
The fact he spoke about me in a language he thought I wouldn't understand, in my presence, made me feel very unwelcome. Why doing it, especially when working in hospitality?
It is unfortunate that I must lower my mark due to this and I would like to emphasize that this was the only instance where the place fell short of expectations – all the other staff members were most kind even when very busy.
