Hotel Mayorca Overview
First Impressions
Hotel Mayorca sits on a quiet residential street in Milan, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. When I first walked up to this three-star property, I wasn’t expecting much — the exterior is pretty understated. But you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city that can feel overwhelming. The lobby is clean and welcoming, with staff who actually seem happy to help rather than just going through the motions.
The Neighborhood Reality
Via Pellizzone isn’t where most tourists end up, and that’s actually a good thing. You’re in a real Milanese neighborhood where locals grab their morning coffee and kids walk to school. The nearest metro stop is about a 10-minute walk, which I’ll admit can feel long when you’re dragging luggage, but it means you’re away from the tourist chaos. There are a couple of solid trattorias within a few blocks — the kind where you’ll be the only non-Italian at dinner.
Room Experience
My room was… well, it was exactly what you’d expect from a mid-range Milan hotel. Not huge, but thoughtfully laid out with decent storage and a bathroom that actually had good water pressure (trust me, this matters after walking around Milan all day). The AC worked properly, which I was grateful for during my July stay. The furnishings are a bit dated but everything’s clean and functional — I mean, you’re not coming to Milan to hang out in your hotel room anyway, right?
Practical Matters
The breakfast situation is pretty standard Continental fare — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but coffee that’s actually good (this is Italy, after all) and enough variety to get you going for the day. What I really appreciated was how quiet the place gets at night. Milan can be noisy, but this street settles down after dinner, so you can actually sleep. The wifi worked fine throughout the building, which isn’t always a given in older Italian hotels.
Why Guests Choose It
Look, Hotel Mayorca isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, no-nonsense place to sleep in an expensive city where hotel prices can get ridiculous. The value proposition makes sense — you’re getting a clean, comfortable stay without paying for amenities you probably won’t use. For travelers who want to experience Milan rather than their hotel lobby, it works. Just manage your expectations and you’ll be fine.

Reviews of Hotel Mayorca
Nice hotel, friendly staff. – Peter from Germany – 9 November 2025 (8/10)
Cheap price, clean and simple
What could be improved: I ha room next to the elevator and the noise of it was a bit annoying. Not too bad, still annoying. My favourite stop-over in Milan. – Allan from United Kingdom – 28 July 2025 (8/10)
Convenient location, close to transport and local shops, bars and restaurants. Good standard hotel with reception open 24 hours. Comfortable room with bathroom, though the shower itself needs updating. Seemed a bit dearer than previously, but my favourite place to stay in Milan.
What could be improved: A few fittings, etc, need updating, but generally nothing to dislike.Very good – Jodie from Australia – 29 June 2025 (8/10)

Very well located close to subway that takes you straight to Linate airport, good value provided for money, quiet location, I appreciated the firm mattress.
What could be improved: The toilet flush was not closing completely, no disturbance for the stay but is water waste.Cool – Ivana from Serbia – 24 April 2025 (8/10)

Location
What could be improved: Noisy pump/motorA single night after a museum tour. – Sziszi from Hungary – 10 August 2024 (7/10)
The room was really spacious with several singular beds. The bathroom's layout was smart and convenient, wasn't dewy at all. It's also a good point that they have only a few room per floor. Easy to access, it has shops, restaurants and bars near to it.
Very good – Ostojic from Serbia – 26 July 2024 (8/10)
Amazing staff
What could be improved: Weak wifi connection
