Italianway-Passeroni Overview
First Impressions
Italianway-Passeroni sits quietly on Via Gian Carlo Passeroni, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s a well-run apartment hotel that gets the basics absolutely right. When I first walked up to the building, I was struck by how residential the whole area feels, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to live like a local in Milan.
The Neighborhood
You know what I love about this location? It’s genuinely Milanese. You’re not surrounded by tourists taking selfies every five minutes. The streets around here have that authentic Milan rhythm — locals heading to work, neighborhood cafés that actually serve residents, not just visitors. There’s a Metro station within walking distance, and I mean actually walkable, not that “10-minute walk” that somehow takes 20. From here, you can reach the Duomo in about 15 minutes by Metro, but you’re far enough away to escape the crowds when you need to decompress.
The Space
The apartments themselves are what sold me on this place. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen, and I’m talking about a real one where you can actually cook, not just heat up instant noodles. The room layouts make sense — whoever designed these understood that travelers need space to spread out a bit. I particularly appreciated having a dining area where I could sit with my laptop in the morning, planning the day over coffee I’d made myself instead of rushing out to find an overpriced café.
Daily Life Here
What really works about Italianway-Passeroni is how it lets you settle into Milan’s rhythm. There’s something liberating about having your own space with a functioning kitchenette, especially when you discover the local market just a few blocks away. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being intrusive — they’re there when you need them, invisible when you don’t. Parking can be arranged if you’re driving, though honestly, in Milan you’re better off using public transport once you’re settled in.
Why Guests Love It
This place earns its 8.7 rating by doing the fundamentals well rather than trying to dazzle you with unnecessary extras. The apartments are clean, the Wi-Fi actually works (crucial for anyone trying to stay connected), and the whole operation runs with that Italian efficiency that’s somehow relaxed and professional at the same time. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby or a restaurant you’ll never use — you’re getting exactly what you need to experience Milan comfortably. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve found a little corner of the city that’s yours, at least for a few days.
Hotels in Milan dot historic Brera district, cathedral squares, and design quarters brimming with artisan workshops.

Nice clean apartment near Porta Romana metro station, close to bars and supermarkets. Appreciated locker with keys upon our arrival. Great customer service!

Passable – Bonsignour from France – 19 July 2023 (5/10)
What could be improved: Les clés pouvaient être récupérées à 3 endroits différents « à notre guise ». Sauf qu’en allant au premier endroit, on nous dit que les clés sont a l’autre endroit, à l’autre bout de là où nous étions. Ce n’était pas agréable, d’autant plus que nous étions en transports en commun.
