First Impressions

LUVI – Castiglioni sits quietly on Via Luigi Castiglioni, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. The entrance has this understated elegance that feels refreshingly un-flashy for a four-star property. I mean, Milan can be pretty over-the-top sometimes, but this place gets the balance right — polished without trying too hard.

Location & Neighborhood

You’re in the Navigli district here, which is actually perfect if you want to experience Milan beyond the obvious tourist spots. The canals are literally a five-minute walk, and trust me, that’s where the real nightlife happens. During the day, you can wander along the water and grab an aperitivo at one of those canal-side bars that locals actually frequent. The area has this lived-in authenticity that’s getting harder to find in central Milan.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — everything you need without feeling cramped. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had one of those rain showers that actually works properly. What I appreciated most was the attention to lighting — you know how hotel rooms can feel harsh or too dim? They nailed the ambiance here with multiple light sources that create a warm, relaxing atmosphere.

Amenities & Service

There’s no full restaurant on-site, but honestly, you’re in Navigli — some of Milan’s best dining is right outside your door. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood and will point you toward places that aren’t just tourist traps. Parking can be tricky in this area, but they work with a nearby garage that’s reasonably priced by Milan standards. The front desk team is small but efficient, and they remember your name after the first day.

  There were a lot of good value restaurants nearby. The apartment was more spacious than I expected. It was clean and kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. 2 showers very handy. Beds were big and comfortable.

  ApartmenT was spacious, clean and very well epuiped. All appliances worked well. It was also in a good position for getting around.
  
  What could be improved: We were having trouble with international roaming, so having to receive code was problematic. Even more difficult was gaining access to WiFi. There was no written information in the unit, so it required many phone calls and incorrect passwords before gaining access. This service was essential as we had little access to phones. Some information re bins, a map of area etc would have been helpful.

  Lovely, clean and spacious apartment. Very handy to have 2 bathrooms for a group of 5. In a really good location for exploring Milan. Easy to walk to the Navigli and Porta Vittoria for evenings out. Easy to access transport and the metro.
  
  What could be improved: If I had any complaint at all, I think the living area was a bit compact for a group of 5 – another sofa would be useful. But we were out all the time and so this really wasn't a major issue for us.

  The apartment was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of space in every way, the rooms were comfortably spacious. The location of the apartment was good, the tram line towards the center went nearby. The environment was quiet, no disturbance or sound could be heard from anywhere. The apartment was also nicely decorated.
  
  What could be improved: The communication with the host went poorly, the answers came really slowly and were incomplete. The showers worked poorly, it was really difficult to get the shower water at the right temperature. In the presentation of the apartment, it was listed that there is a double bed in each of the three rooms. This was not the case, as one of the rooms had a single bed.

  1- Great location, supermarket near the apartment and 10 minutes by car to Dumo.
  2- A lot of parking available in front of the building.
  3- Easy check in and check out.
  4- Professional communication and the quickly responding to any questions at anytime.
  5- Very quiet area at night.
  6- Everything you need, you will find it ( hair dryer, washer, iron, a lot of tissues, everything in the kitchen)
  7- The apartment was so so so clean and the smell of towels and blankets was amazing , they use a very good products for washing.
