Italianway – Sanfelice 10 Overview
First Impressions
Italianway – Sanfelice 10 sits quietly on a residential street in Milan’s Porta Vittoria district, and honestly, that’s exactly what I loved about it. This three-star property doesn’t try to be flashy — it’s tucked into a typical Milanese building where you’ll hear neighbors chatting on balconies and smell coffee drifting from nearby cafés. The entrance is understated, almost easy to miss, but that’s part of its charm.
The Neighborhood Reality
Porta Vittoria isn’t tourist central, and that’s actually a good thing. You’re living where real Milanese people live, about a 15-minute metro ride from the Duomo. Via Luisa Sanfelice feels authentically local — there’s a decent grocery store around the corner, and I found this little trattoria two blocks away that served better carbonara than most places in the city center. The area comes alive in the evenings when locals head out for their aperitivo ritual.
The Apartment Setup
These are proper serviced apartments, not hotel rooms in the traditional sense. My apartment had a compact but well-designed kitchen with everything you’d actually need — proper coffee maker, decent-sized fridge, even a dishwasher. The living space flows nicely into a sleeping area, though the layout varies depending on which unit you get. What struck me was how clean everything felt, like someone actually cares about maintenance here.
Daily Practicalities
The Wi-Fi works well (I was working remotely for part of my stay), and there’s air conditioning that actually keeps the space comfortable during Milan’s sticky summers. Parking can be arranged, though honestly, you won’t need a car in this city. The building has a small elevator — essential when you’re hauling luggage up to the third or fourth floor. I appreciated having a washing machine in the unit, which saved me from hunting down a laundromat.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with marble lobbies or a fancy spa, but it delivers something more valuable — a genuine taste of how Milanese people actually live. The value is solid for what you get, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights and want to cook some meals rather than eat out constantly. Plus, the staff responds quickly when you need something, which matters more than most people realize until they’re dealing with a problem at 9 PM.
Best hotels in Milan blend rooftop terraces, contemporary Italian style, and traditional Milanese breakfast spreads.
