Italianway – The B Village Superior Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Italianway – The B Village Superior, you’ll notice it sits right in the heart of Milan on a quiet side street that somehow feels removed from the city’s constant buzz. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell there’s thought behind every detail. It’s the kind of three-star place that punches above its weight class, honestly.

The Heart of Milan

Via Metastasio is one of those streets locals actually use, which I love about this location. You’re literally steps from La Scala — I mean, you could probably hear the opera if the windows were open. The Duomo is maybe a seven-minute walk, but here’s what’s really nice: you’re close enough to everything without being stuck in the tourist chaos. There’s a little café around the corner where actual Milanese grab their morning espresso, and that tells you everything you need to know about the neighborhood.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but cleverly designed — very Milan, actually, where space is precious and every square meter counts. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I appreciated the blackout curtains (essential when you’re trying to recover from jet lag). What really impressed me was the attention to details: good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that felt modern without trying too hard. It’s not going to blow you away, but it’s going to make you comfortable, which honestly matters more.

Daily Rhythms

Breakfast happens in a cozy space that feels more like someone’s dining room than a hotel setup. Nothing elaborate — fresh pastries, decent coffee, and the basics done well. The staff here actually remember your name after a day or two, which is refreshing in a city this size. I found myself looking forward to those morning conversations, even with my terrible Italian.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s the thing about this place — it gets Milan right. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you are getting a genuine slice of the city. The 7.9 rating makes sense when you consider what travelers actually want: a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location with people who care about your experience. I’ve stayed in fancier places in Milan that felt sterile, but this one has personality. Plus, when you’re spending most of your time exploring the fashion district or wandering through Brera, you just need somewhere that feels like home at the end of the day — and that’s exactly what you get here.

Early hotels booking in Milan secures opera tickets, rooftop bar nights, and private Italian cooking class sessions.

Reviews of Italianway – The B Village Superior

  • Great convenient stay! Stayed one night prior to leaving for airport next morning. Close to duomo and right next to stat – Lani from United States – 2 November 2025 (8/10)

Super close to cardona station which goes straight to airport. Also walking distance to duomo

What could be improved: Thin walls – some noise at night

  • Very good – Mustansir from United Kingdom – 7 October 2025 (8/10)

    Good location

  • Superb – Berret from United States – 2 October 2025 (9/10)

The location is excellent! One minute walk from exiting the Cadorna train station. The staff here are very kind and friendly and it was wonderful to have a place to store our bags while we walked around the city. The room is clean and has everything you need.

What could be improved: The bathroom is pretty small and the bed is soft. All fine, but just good for some people to know.

  • Nice room and good location; would book again despite small issues – Katharina from Austria – 30 August 2025 (8/10)

Very nice, I was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful room and very clean. The bed was very comfortable (though a second pillow would've been nice!)

The location was also perfect for my purposes (conference at a nearby university). I walked almost everywhere or took the metro or tram (the tram is great for seeing the city, although it's a bit unreliable as it often takes longer than scheduled). The neighbourhood is beautiful and the station is really close, which is nice. (I wasn't personally bothered by the occasional train noises at all, but if you're really sensitive to noise, maybe take earplugs).

The hotel uses codes to get in, which was practical as you don't have to worry about forgetting or losing your key; however, as a solo female traveller I personally sometimes feel a bit unsafe with codes because you never know who else has them, so I additionally blocked the door with a travel door stop/alarm.

What could be improved: Some small problems with the room: My bathroom door didn't close all the way, let alone lock, but it wasn't a problem for me because I was traveling alone anyway. My window shutter also broke the first night and they said at the front desk that someone would come to fix it, but no one came. Because there was an extra curtain, the broken shutter wasn't a big deal either though.

Also, my room was only accessible via a type of balcony that you had to take steep and narrow stairs up to (no elevator for this specific room), and it was quite difficult to carry my luggage up there.

  • Good – Bahy from Switzerland – 8 June 2025 (7/10)

    Close to train station

What could be improved: Communication with property was absent outside side working hours

  • A great stay – Karen from Ireland – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

The location was perfect, walking distance to everywhere, right beside the train station and metro, which is handy coming from Malpensa airport. Lovely clean spacious loft apartment. Comfortable bed. Great facilities.

What could be improved: WiFi was a bit hit and miss at times and lots of codes to keep track of!

  • Superb – Teodora from Montenegro – 22 May 2025 (9/10)

Location is amazing. It was clean, kitchen had everything you needed although we didn’t used it. I will definitely save this place for my next visit to Milan. Apartment was extremely small but comfortable, I was stunned how greatly space was used. It also has system of passkey locks so we were able to have late check in.

What could be improved: It is placed in inner part of the building that has outdoor path along whole floor. That means that neighbours who are further from lift need to pass right next to your window and door, so you need to keep them shut for privacy. That wouldn’t be a problem if those aren’t your only source of natural light. This is a minor dislike, all in all it was great! ❤️

  • Very good – Aneta from Switzerland – 21 May 2025 (8/10)

Nice convenient location near the city centre and also next to the tube station. Helpful staff. Air conditioning/heating was working well and fast. Bathroom, little kitchen corner and the bedsheets were all nice and clean.

What could be improved: I had a single room and I was surprised that there is no window except the glass door, which felt a bit claustrophobic, when I rolled down the blinds for more privacy, as it was facing into a courtyard.

  • Your own space away from Home – Enaëlle from Guadeloupe – 17 May 2025 (9/10)

It so close to a main train and metro station and you are quite free with your space. Shopping and restaurants are close by. As well as some a Milano's attractions. Highly recommended.

What could be improved: There nothing really…

  • Very good – Cosima from Austria – 25 April 2025 (8/10)

I loved the location and how easy it was to check in and out.

What could be improved: There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom and at night the fan was sometimes quite loud.
