JOIVY Welcoming flats by Corso Como Overview

First Impressions

JOIVY Welcoming flats by Corso Como sits right on one of Milan‘s most buzzing streets, and honestly, that’s both its biggest draw and something you need to know upfront. The building itself is typical Milanese — nothing flashy, just solid and authentic. When I first walked up, I appreciated how it blends into the neighborhood rather than trying to stand out like some tourist magnet.

The Neighborhood Vibe

You’re literally steps from Porta Garibaldi station, which means getting around Milan is ridiculously easy. But here’s what I really loved — Corso Como has this energy that shifts throughout the day. Mornings feel residential and calm, then by evening it transforms into this vibrant strip where locals actually hang out. The Porta Nuova business district is right there too, so you’ll see this interesting mix of suited professionals and creative types wandering around.

The Space

These are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. Each apartment comes with an actual kitchen — I’m talking full-size appliances, decent counter space, the works. The room layouts vary, but mine had this nice separation between sleeping and living areas that made it feel like I was actually staying somewhere, not just crashing for the night. The furnishings are modern without being sterile, though you can tell this is a three-star place — everything’s functional and clean rather than fancy.

Daily Life Here

Having that kitchen changes everything, especially in Milan where eating out constantly can drain your wallet fast. I mean, there’s a decent grocery store just a few blocks away, and cooking breakfast while planning my day became this nice ritual. The Wi-Fi actually works well (crucial when you’re trying to figure out which museums to hit), and the windows open properly — you’d be surprised how many places skimp on that. Street noise is definitely present since you’re on Corso Como, but it’s more urban hum than anything disruptive.

Why It Works

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with marble lobbies or fancy concierge services. What JOIVY Welcoming flats delivers is something more valuable — a genuine Milan experience in a spot where you’re connected to the city’s rhythm. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s solidly good without pretending to be something it’s not. You’ll save money on meals with that kitchen, spend less time commuting thanks to the location, and still be close enough to walk to the Duomo when the mood strikes. For travelers who want to live in Milan rather than just visit it, this place gets it right.

  • Good – Florence from France – 12 September 2025 (7/10)

    L’emplacement
    La réactivité du loueur

    What could be improved: Climatisation
Volets électriques manquaient d’un mode d’emploi

  • Good – Alilović from Croatia – 7 September 2025 (7/10)

    Location

What could be improved: We wrote that we are coming at 15:00 and we could not enter the aparment because they were making the final check and the key was not in the box because someone was inside and there was no Wi-fi the entire time of our stay.

  • Nice location, beds, no WiFi and no coffee – Kseniya from Ukraine – 25 May 2025 (6/10)

I stayed in this apartment for 10 days, and I’ll start with the positives.

The location is truly amazing — all major railway stations are nearby, a supermarket is just 2 minutes away, and the city center is about a 20–25-minute walk. I always felt safe and comfortable in the area. The beds were cozy, rooms were clean, and there was hot water 24/7. One of my favorite parts was the huge terrace right in front of our entrance — it was a lovely bonus.

What could be improved: Now for the downsides:
    1. Customer care
We were three people staying, but there was no additional blanket provided. I contacted customer service — and this is where things got really disappointing. While I generally don’t like to divide people by gender, I want to highlight that I spoke to a few women on their hotline, and unfortunately, two of them were incredibly rude and disrespectful. One even said, “I’m not here to understand your feelings”, “too many words, you are not effective” and on two occasions, they hung up on me before I could finish explaining. I’ve never experienced this kind of customer service before. (To be fair, one lovely lady (Sarah) and all male customer care were polite and helpful — but sadly, those two bad interactions overshadowed everything else.) but I must admit, they brought third blanket.
    2. Wi-Fi: A complete failure
We had no Wi-Fi at all for the entire 10-day stay. I called and messaged multiple times — one technician came, tried something, and left, but the issue was never resolved. As someone who works remotely, this was a huge problem. I had to pay for mobile roaming for the entire stay, which added to my costs. I paid for a service (Wi-Fi) that I never got, and no one seemed to care.
    3. Coffee machine situation
When we arrived, there was an old capsule stuck inside the coffee machine. I couldn’t remove it. I love my morning coffee and always check coffee options before booking. They did bring me a moka pot — but guys, moka pots don’t work on induction stovetops! So yes, I ended up boiling coffee in a soup pot in the middle of Milan. I even tried fixing the coffee machine myself and succeeded and looked for compatible capsules in the supermarket — but they didn’t stock that size.
    4. Small things that could improve
It would be nice if a little more soap and detergent was provided for the kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine. These are small but important details for guests staying longer than a couple of days.

  • Good – Stefan from Switzerland – 12 May 2025 (7/10)

Für den Zutritt wäre eine Beschreibung mit zusätzlichen Bildern und nicht nur Text sinnvoll.

  • Very good – Melanie from Germany – 26 April 2025 (8/10)

  • Close to restaurants and market – Nancy from United States – 18 April 2025 (6/10)

    Close to the rail terminal

What could be improved: Unable to regulate room temperature Horrible HOT

  • A great place in Milan! – Alexander from Bulgaria – 22 October 2024 (10/10)

I can only give this accommodation the highest rating!
    1. The accommodation organization is extremely efficient with the help of QR code.
    2. The location is exceptionally good for Milan – within walking distance of the main sights.
    3. The apartment has recently been renovated, with an exclusive organization of the interior space. the maximum number of visitors for a room with one bedroom is four – the sofa is extremely comfortable.
    4. Equipped with everything you need – cutlery, glasses, electrical appliances – new and of good quality. /the capsules for the coffee machine are from GIMOKA, they are not found in Carrefour Express/
    5. Yes, there is a building under construction and a night bar nearby – this creates an inconvenience related to the noise, but if you go out in the morning at 8.00 and come back tired after 22.00, it will not interfere with your rest 🙂
    6. The communication with the support team is good and timely – we received precise instructions to restart the router to restore the internet.

What could be improved: There is no such thing – cleanliness, organization, connection with the place – everything was at a high level.
Maybe…. he just refused to be there 30 minutes early?

  • Good – Gunvant from France – 15 October 2024 (7/10)

  • Nice place in a noisy area – Danuta from United States – 10 October 2024 (8/10)

The property is conveniently located close to metro station as well as Porto Garibaldi train station. The beds are very comfortable and good quality, the kitchen is fairly equipped.

What could be improved: Close to the property is a night club with loud music until 4-5 am.
Next to the property is a big construction side with commotion from 7 am.

  • Very good – Geraldine from France – 18 September 2024 (8/10)

J ai adoré l emplacement de l appartement
Il est propre et neuf. L entre est autonome

What could be improved: Le canapé lit est la en appoint
