Kibilù – Via Pastorelli Overview

First Impressions

Kibilù – Via Pastorelli sits on a quiet residential street in the Navigli district, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not looking carefully. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t scream for attention — the entrance is understated, almost residential, which I actually found refreshing after seeing so many hotels trying too hard. The lobby feels more like someone’s stylish living room than a traditional hotel space, with warm lighting and a few carefully chosen pieces that make you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place.

Location & Neighborhood

Being in Navigli means you’re right in the heart of Milan’s canal district, which is honestly one of the best areas to base yourself. The famous aperitivo scene is literally on your doorstep — I mean, you can hear the buzz from the canal-side bars on weekend evenings. What’s great is that Via Pastorelli itself stays pretty quiet, so you get the energy when you want it but can actually sleep at night. The metro connections are solid too, though I found myself walking everywhere because the neighborhood has that kind of vibe where you want to explore on foot.

The Room Experience

The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed — they’ve made smart use of every inch without making it feel cramped. Mine had this little seating area by the window that became my favorite spot for morning coffee. The kitchenette is basic but functional, which comes in handy when you want to grab groceries from the local market and have a quiet breakfast in. The bathroom actually surprised me with its size, and the shower pressure was consistently good throughout my stay.

Daily Rhythms

There isn’t a traditional restaurant on-site, but honestly, that’s part of the charm — you’re forced to explore the incredible food scene right outside your door. The staff runs a small breakfast service that feels more like a local café setup, and they know their neighborhood well enough to point you toward hidden gems. I spent most evenings wandering along the canals, then coming back to a peaceful night’s sleep on surprisingly comfortable beds.

Why Guests Love It

What makes Kibilù work is its authenticity — it feels like staying in Milan rather than just visiting it. The building has character without being precious about it, and the location gives you access to both the trendy Navigli scene and easy transport to the city center. You know what I appreciated most? The staff treats you like a temporary neighbor rather than just another tourist passing through. For the price point, it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense.

Reviews of Kibilù – Via Pastorelli

  • Not bad room, not good support – Toru from Japan – 3 December 2025 (6/10)

    Location

What could be improved: No heating ragiators in the rooms, even rooms are not so cold, suport said the building is whole controlled, not sure. Whatsupp support was worst that they just answered call other location etc.

  • Decent flat that was clean and cosy. – Zsuzsanna from Hungary – 2 October 2025 (8/10)

It was a very nice flat with just enough equipment to sustain the 4 of us for 3 days.
I believe that the flat is a bit small for 4 people, but we managed.

What could be improved: The sofabed is not suitable for two adults for longer than a couple of days.

  • Very good – Hervé from France – 26 September 2025 (8/10)

Le lieu et la taille du logement

What could be improved: Pas très bien insonorisé.

  • Everything was so good. And thankyou so much – Oltion from Albania – 25 November 2024 (10/10)

    Everything

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Peaceful and quite place – Magda from Mexico – 15 November 2024 (10/10)

There is space enough for 4 people, all appliances worked, and the host was very helpful when needed to due an early check in.

What could be improved: Everything is good, just think the sofa needs to be a bit more presentable

  • Location is good but the property itself needs a lot of work.. You cannot simply provide only beds and sheets for this a – Iva from Bulgaria – 3 June 2024 (3/10)

The location is quite nice. The apartment complex is closed and the place is good enough considering its placement.

What could be improved: Overall, our experience was quite disappointing. The boiler was very small and barely provided enough hot water for two people, even though the apartment is meant for four. The sheets and blankets were dusty and dirty. Providing only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 6-night stay with 4 guests is completely unacceptable. We were also told to buy our own toilet paper, which is absurd. We had to search for additional towels ourselves, which was inconvenient.

When we tried to contact the staff for help, they were unresponsive and unhelpful.
The windows had no screens, leading to a lot of insects coming in.
    There was poor sound insulation.
There were cockroaches. Additionally, the toilet was cracked.
This level of service is absolutely ridiculous.

  • Very good – Anna from Poland – 10 May 2024 (8/10)

Nice apartment in a residential area, clean, quiet, 10 minutes walk to the canale grande Naviglio where are many restaurants, approx. 25 -30 min. to Duomo by public transport with 1 transfer (we took bus no 74 and tram no 3), a few minutes to the bus stop and to the supermarket

What could be improved: The need to pay a deposit of EUR 150 at check-in online before receiving entry instructions, coffe capsules machine but there were no capsules in the kitchen so it would better if there was a more universal device for making coffee, the sofa bed squeaked a lot at night, not enough toilet paper,

  • Exceptional – Darko from Serbia – 13 April 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is full equipped, clean and seems to be bigger in the person, bathroom is clean, and you have all opportunities for buses trains.

  • In general it’s good accommodation! – Fedotova from Ukraine – 18 February 2024 (8/10)

Location is good, easy to walk by foot to the city center also close to tram stop or metro porta Genova, lots of bars and restaurants around, groceries also close like 5mins walk. Apartment looks exactly like the pictures, kitchen full of equipments, in the bathroom shower gel, shampoo and lots of towels are provided. I had self check-in and check-our which was super easy!

What could be improved: There is also coffee machine in the kitchen but coffee was missing, tea too, it would be nice to have it, overall flat was okay, just a bit dust on the bathroom floor.

  • Thanks for the good time. The apartment has everything down to the smallest detail, excellent quality TV, internet, onli – Kanat from Kazakhstan – 2 January 2024 (10/10)
