-L’ Oasi Del Turista, Room2- CENTRAL STATION Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to L’ Oasi Del Turista, Room2- CENTRAL STATION on Via Guido Cavalcanti, you’ll notice it’s tucked into one of those classic Milanese residential buildings that locals actually live in. This three-star spot doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s honest about being a comfortable, well-located base for exploring Milan. The entrance is pretty straightforward, though I appreciated that the building itself has that solid, pre-war feel you get in this part of the city.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s what I mean about the location — you’re genuinely close to Milano Centrale without being right in the tourist chaos. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the station, which sounds perfect until you’re dragging luggage over cobblestones, but honestly, the neighborhood trade-off is worth it. You’ve got real cafés where locals grab their morning espresso, and the Porta Garibaldi area is close enough that you can wander over for dinner without planning your whole evening around transportation.
The Room Experience
The room itself — well, it’s what you’d expect from a thoughtfully managed three-star place. Clean, functional, and they’ve actually paid attention to details like decent lighting and storage space that makes sense. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t think about it, which is exactly what you want. What surprised me was how quiet it stayed at night, considering you’re still pretty central — the building’s thick walls definitely help with that.
Practical Details
The apartment setup gives you a bit more space to spread out than your typical hotel room, and having access to a kitchenette turned out to be more useful than I expected. Nothing fancy, but you can make coffee the way you like it and store some groceries if you’re staying a few days. The WiFi actually worked consistently, and there’s parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan — though honestly, I’d stick with public transport.
Why Guests Connect With It
What makes this place work is that it doesn’t oversell itself. You’re getting a solid, well-maintained space in a neighborhood that feels authentically Milanese rather than tourist-focused. The staff seems to understand that most people staying here want practical help — good directions, restaurant recommendations that aren’t just the obvious choices, that sort of thing. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days and actually feel like you’re experiencing the city rather than just passing through it.

What could be improved: No coffee station, no cups or glasses to drink water or coffee.ok for one night. – Yitzhak from Israel – 7 September 2025 (8/10)
pretty close to the central railway station, but not very close. need a short bus ride or a walk with suitcases which isn't comftorable. There is a nice pizza place nearby.
What could be improved: Door key is a little complicated.Very good – Marlene from Germany – 26 August 2025 (8/10)
Quite easy online check in process, possible to get in about 30min in advances after a helpful call with the property manager. Clean and spacious room and bathroom. Air condition was helpful in August. Bed, pillows and linen of seemingly high quality and very comfortable – definitely above the standard of most average hotels!
What could be improved: Unfortunately, we were not able to switch off the light of the air conditioning for the night, thus bright LED light all night which bothered us a bit. It's definitely not noise insulated and noises and voices on the hallway and neighboring rooms can be heard – not ideal but unfortunately pretty common.Very good! – Changho from South Korea – 24 August 2025 (10/10)
Quiet and cozy!!
What could be improved: NothingVery comfortable – Hsern from United Kingdom – 27 July 2025 (9/10)

Trams and Metro a few minutes walk and plenty of shops and restaurants around the area. – Mikewarren from United Kingdom – 14 June 2025 (8/10)
Comfy bed, great shower.
What could be improved: It was a little noisy at times.Exceptional – Elise from United Kingdom – 26 April 2025 (10/10)
The hosts have made everything very clear and easy. We arrived late and still was very smooth process
Above average, walls could be insulated better and AC could be better – Kiyan from Canada – 20 April 2025 (9/10)
Location and overall sanity was good, for Milan it was a great value and facility provided the price
What could be improved: Close to metro, but Located near bars in a not so safe neighbourhood and thin walls you can hear through. Room can overheat so you may need to leave the window openExceptional – Veronika from Ukraine – 18 March 2025 (10/10)
Everything was great! It was clean and comfortable, the owner was always in touch, which was very nice. There was also a nice gesture in the form of candies, which is great! The location is also very pleasing. In general, everything is good
