Certosa isn’t the flashiest neighborhood, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re about 15 minutes by metro from the Duomo, and the Certosa station is literally a short walk away — which means you can zip into central Milan whenever you want but come back to something that feels less touristy. The surrounding streets have that authentic Milanese vibe, with local cafes and shops that actually serve residents, not just visitors.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was modern without being sterile — clean lines, good lighting, and a bathroom that actually had decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how rare that can be). What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details: plenty of outlets, a work desk that’s actually usable, and blackout curtains that really work. The beds are comfortable, though not groundbreaking, and the air conditioning keeps things cool during those sticky Milan summers.

There’s a restaurant on-site that serves solid Italian fare — nothing revolutionary, but the pasta dishes are well-executed and the prices are reasonable for a four-star hotel. The breakfast spread is pretty comprehensive, with both Italian staples and international options. I mean, you’re not going to find the most amazing meal of your life here, but you’ll eat well without breaking the bank or having to venture out every single time you’re hungry.

  The staff were so hospitable, willing to help at all times. The Chef (Abdul), was amazing, helped to package some breakfast for us when we had to leave the hotel very early to meet up with a tour we booked. The hotel is also clean and well looked after.

  Good location near public transport (few minutes for bus/metro), good breakfast with very helpful staff for all needs! Also the big advantage is free private parking in hotel area. Quite area and no traffic.
