Limehome Milan via Stresa Overview

First Impressions

Limehome Milan via Stresa isn’t your typical hotel — it’s more like having your own apartment in Milan without the hassle of dealing with landlords or utility bills. Located in the Bicocca-Zara district, this four-star property caught my attention because it actually feels like a real neighborhood rather than a touristy bubble. The building itself has that clean, modern aesthetic that Germans do so well (Limehome is a German company), and honestly, the whole check-in process is refreshingly straightforward.

The Neighborhood Reality

Here’s what I wish someone had told me about Bicocca-Zara before I arrived — it’s primarily a business and residential area, which means you get authentic Milan life without the crowds. The Zara metro station is practically around the corner, putting you just 15 minutes from the Duomo when you want that classic Milan experience. What I really appreciated was having actual grocery stores nearby (there’s a Carrefour that saved me multiple times) and local bars where you can grab a proper espresso without paying tourist prices.

Living Space That Works

The apartment setup here is what sets Limehome apart — each unit comes with a proper kitchenette that’s actually functional, not just decorative. I mean, you’ve got a real fridge, stovetop, and all the basics for cooking simple meals. The room design is smart and minimalist, with everything you need but nothing cluttered. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the workspace area actually worked for getting things done, which isn’t always the case in European hotels.

Practical Details That Matter

The Wi-Fi is solid — important if you’re working remotely or just trying to navigate Milan. There’s no traditional front desk, but the digital check-in system works smoothly once you get the hang of it. Parking can be arranged, though honestly, you won’t need a car in this location since the metro connections are so reliable. The building stays quiet despite being in an urban area, which I attribute to good soundproofing and the fact that most guests seem to be business travelers rather than party groups.

Why Guests Love It

What really works about Limehome Milan via Stresa is the independence it offers — you get hotel-level cleanliness and service standards, but with the freedom of having your own space. It’s particularly great if you’re staying more than a couple of nights, since having that kitchen means you’re not forced to eat out for every meal. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you consider the value proposition — you’re getting quality accommodation in a real Milan neighborhood at a price that won’t make your wallet cry.

Reviews of Limehome Milan via Stresa

  • For us the overall property rate has to be 9.5, but was 9 or 10, nothing in between. – Leonat from Albania – 11 November 2025 (9/10)

Location, high tech and very handy, good lightening, quiet neighborhood. Open market in front of the building on Friday was a very good surprise. Very near to public transportation and easy to catch.

I definitely suggest to everybody to go there. In my next stay in Milano this will by my first choice.

What could be improved: Internal sliding door has to be equilibrated. Never the less was not an issue.

  • Superb – Ding-ying from Taiwan – 26 October 2025 (9/10)

Good and easy communication online with staff
    Full equipped kitchen

  • Modern apartment walking distance to train station – Erin from Australia – 16 September 2025 (9/10)

Property was about a 20 min walk (pulling a suitcase) from Milan Central Train Station. The apartment is in a new building and very modern although does show some signs on wear from prior guests. Checkin is all done online – there are no staff actually present.
There is a small playground in the complex if you have children.

What could be improved: The main bed was well worn, such that the mattress sloped into the middle.

  • Nice clean room close to metro – Kristýna from Czech Republic – 28 April 2025 (7/10)

    Near to city center

What could be improved: Wifi doesnt work

  • it's a great property for a small group who want the amenities of a house (cooking and washing etc). – Anthony from United Kingdom – 9 April 2025 (8/10)

the system Limehome use is automated with access granted digitally at 3pm on the day of your check-in. The property is within 24-hour managed access property, so security is excellent.

What could be improved: The property is located near the centre, but if you don't like walking 15 minutes, you can have the reception call a taxi, which will take you into the centre of town (FS Centrale was 10 Euro, for example).

  • Superb – Araqs from Armenia – 7 March 2025 (9/10)

House was really nice. Everything for a comfortable time

  • To sum it up, whole stay was really good and I could easly recommend to stay here – Karol from Poland – 8 February 2025 (8/10)

Everything was perfect (localization, easy way to check-in/check-out, room equipment, purity, smarthome)

What could be improved: The only problem was with hot water (as a group of 4 people we couldnt take a shower next to each others if we wanted warm water). Moreover the first person had to wait around 5-10 min to get a hot water.

  • Superb – Avik from India – 22 January 2025 (9/10)

The room is very clean and comfortable.

  • Other than the shower, it was a pleasant stay. – Chai from Malaysia – 30 December 2024 (7/10)

The place is clean, has every amenities, and only 10mins walk to metro. Check in and check out was very straight forward and easy.

What could be improved: The hot water can only accommodate 1 person each time. After that, the next person has to wait awhile for the water heater to boil before using the shower. It was a hassle especially for a group of 4 living in the property and during the WINTER. I have contacted the team and they mention they fixed it, which I doubt cause the water is not only cold but still FREEZING cold as if you're taking an ice bath. For future stayers, wait 30mins-1hr before the next person enter to shower or don't shower too long.

  • The accommodation helped to make a wonderful visit to Milan – Robert from United Kingdom – 9 September 2024 (9/10)

Very clean , modern and close to the train station . The receptionists were helpful and friendly.

What could be improved: I thought the property was excellent
    We have no complaints
