Here’s what I love about staying in Navigli — you’re in the heart of Milan’s coolest district without the chaos of the city center. This three-star spot puts you right where locals actually hang out, especially in the evenings when the canal comes alive with aperitivo crowds. The Naviglio Grande is literally right there, so you can stroll along the water to dozens of bars and restaurants that most tourists never find. Plus, you’re close enough to the Duomo (about 15 minutes by tram) but far enough away to actually get some sleep.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — very Italian in that efficient-yet-stylish way. What struck me was how quiet it was, considering you’re in such a lively area. The decor feels fresh and modern without trying too hard, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I expected from a three-star place. There’s good natural light during the day, and the bathrooms are small but perfectly functional.

Getting Around

You know what’s great about this location? You don’t need to rely on taxis or the metro as much. The Navigli area is super walkable, and there’s excellent public transport when you do need it. I found myself walking to Brera and even the fashion district more often than I planned — Milan’s way more compact than people realize. Plus, there’s decent parking nearby if you’re crazy enough to drive in Milan (though I wouldn’t recommend it).

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it gets the balance right — you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Milanese rather than generically touristy. The staff actually knows the neighborhood and can point you toward the kind of local spots you’d never find on your own. For the price point, it’s honestly hard to beat, especially if you want to experience Milan like someone who lives here rather than just passing through. The canal views from some rooms are just a bonus — though even without them, you’ll be spending your evenings down by the water anyway.

  Alessandro nos hizo todo muy fácil. Tuvimos un problema con nuestro avión y llegamos entrada la madrugada y se encargo de recibirnos con una sonrisa. Hemos tenido una estancia fantástica, el apartamento tiene todo lo necesario para pasar un par de noches cómodos y con una ubicación excelente!
