LUVI – Vigevano Overview
First Impressions
LUVI – Vigevano caught my attention immediately when I walked up to the building on Via Vigevano. You know what struck me first? The way this three-star place manages to feel boutique-ish without trying too hard. It’s tucked into the Navigli district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering — you’re right in the heart of one of Milan‘s most vibrant neighborhoods.
The Navigli Experience
Here’s the thing about staying in Navigli — you’re literally living where locals actually hang out. The canals are just steps away, and I mean the real deal with aperitivo bars lining the water. During the day, it’s pretty mellow, but come evening, the whole area transforms into this buzzing social scene. The hotel sits on a street that feels residential but you’re maybe a three-minute walk from all the action.
The Room
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — no wasted space, which you appreciate in Milan where every square meter counts. The bed was comfortable enough, and they’ve got decent air conditioning (trust me, you’ll need it in summer). The bathroom’s modern and clean, though don’t expect a massive shower. What I really liked was the soundproofing — even with Navigli’s nightlife nearby, I slept well.
Neighborhood Perks
The staff pointed me toward this little restaurant around the corner that serves incredible risotto — the kind of local spot you’d never find on your own. There’s also a small grocery store practically next door, which came in handy for grabbing water and snacks. The metro isn’t super close, but honestly, you’ll probably want to walk everywhere anyway since this area’s got such great street life.
Why Guests Love It
Look, LUVI isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-run hotel in one of Milan’s coolest districts. The value proposition actually makes sense — you’re paying for the location and getting a clean, comfortable place to crash between exploring the city. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since finding decent accommodation in Navigli that doesn’t cost a fortune is trickier than you’d think.

Reviews of LUVI – Vigevano
Good – Muyibat from Ireland – 4 July 2025 (7/10)
The location is very good and the room kitchen and everything was perfect
What could be improved: The air-conditioning in the room doesn't work well and also the living room and kitchen was very very hot 🔥 too much heat inside like you were sleeping outside, the heat is extremely too much in the apartment. the living room needs a standing fan or air-conditioned. Also the toilet needs crossed ventilation.Great place to stay in Milan – Margaret from United States – 8 February 2025 (10/10)
The upstairs neighbor happened along to assist us in getting into the apartment
What could be improved: We lost heat and hot water for one day but the manager fixed it after we were able to communicateComfortable stay and excellent location, would recommend it, how ever I would advise a more thorough cleaning of the bat – Karantoni from Greece – 24 November 2024 (8/10)
Excellent location, comfortable all in all
What could be improved: The bathroom was not very clean, there was mold in the shower , the bed was broken and poorly fixedOverall nice stay, but the bed was uncomfortable – Omer from Israel – 30 July 2024 (6/10)
Clean and spacious for a couple.
Nice location
What could be improved: Bed has slope towards the middle, for a couple it’s harder to sleep without rolling to the middle.
Washing machine didn’t work.ΑMAZING location!! Nice building and nice room! – Marilena from Greece – 11 July 2024 (8/10)
ΑMAZING location!! Nice building and nice room!
The room was very clean (except sleep duvets that were stored and we needed to use) and the bed was very cozy!
What could be improved: The room was in ground floor so it was a bit dark and cold (not so much sunlight creates humidity) BUT we walked around all day and we went there for sleep so it was ok. The front door of the building didn't open according to the host's guidelines and the room's 2 doors needs a fix to open/close more easily. It also needs a toilet cover..Very good – Anthony from Malta – 8 February 2024 (8/10)
The location is excellent, with all the types of restaurants you need. It's good for shopping if you're into vintage and markets (Navigli Market is around the corner). Duomo is a 15–20 minute walk. You have all the facilities you need (except wifi). The tram is right opposite the main entrance, and Carrefour is 100 metres away.
What could be improved: No wifi, and Netflix kept jamming due to snail-paced bandwidth.Good – Zheneveva from Czech Republic – 31 August 2023 (7/10)
I liked the quarter, there we lived. The flat was also very nice and clean, it was also big. And beautiful.
What could be improved: It was very hard to understand how to unlock the door and when we called the host of the house he never answered the phone, we didn’t get the code for our appartement from him, so some nice lady gave us hers.Perfect location! – Blerta from Kosovo – 31 July 2023 (8/10)
My apartment was with old style furniture but I like that
What could be improved: No daylight, one window is in the tunnel, you need to open the main door to get lightCute place but get ALL instructions BEFORE you start traveling – Catherine from Italy – 30 May 2023 (7/10)
Plus: Great location, easy to find, close to metro and in the heart of the Navigli. Decent size rooms, everything you need for the price. Minus: They forgot to give me the street address after I paid! then, Incredibly complicated to get keys! They assume you have wifi (arrived from US, so no) and even if I did have wifi, I couldnt get in the main entrance to get to the apartment to open the door. Then once you get to the door, its a super complicated lock system. Then, there was no wifi instructions and they misplaced the door key. In total, I lost 3 hours of my one day waiting for them to help me get in, get the main door key and codes. Ridiculous. Otherwise, they were very nice.
What could be improved: Incredibly (unnecessarily) complex to find the street without an address, then impossible to enter. I had no wifi had to ask the Baker (Davide) to help me call them. He helped so much – but this should not have been necessary! Luckily I arrived by day!location is the winner here! – Masha from United Kingdom – 24 April 2023 (7/10)
incredible location! right in the heart of a popular area with canals nearby, and metro stop just 1 min away. very lovely courtyard just outside the flat
What could be improved: stank of cigarettes from previous guests! also no wall between the bed and the living room, it’s actually more just a thin board so no privacy between friends
