Mila Apartments Alessi Overview
First Impressions
Mila Apartments Alessi sits on the second floor of a classic Milanese building on Via Galeazzo Alessi, and honestly, the location alone made me do a double-take. You’re literally in the heart of Milan here — I mean, you can walk to the Duomo in about ten minutes, but you’re tucked away on this quieter residential street that feels refreshingly local. The building itself has that old-world Italian charm with modern touches that work surprisingly well together.
The Space That Works
What struck me about this three-star property is how they’ve maximized every square inch without making you feel cramped. Each apartment comes with a proper kitchenette — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cooking space with a stovetop and everything you need to whip up a simple meal. The room layouts are smart too, with separate sleeping and living areas that actually give you space to spread out your stuff (you know how rare that is in Milan).
Location Perks You’ll Actually Use
Here’s what the guidebooks won’t tell you — Via Galeazzo Alessi puts you within walking distance of some of Milan’s best kept secrets. There’s this incredible local market just two blocks away where actual Milanese do their shopping, not tourists. You’re also perfectly positioned between the Brera district and the city center, so you can easily duck into art galleries or grab aperitivo without dealing with the chaos around the main tourist spots. The metro connection at Cairoli is practically around the corner too.
Daily Life Details
The kitchenette setup actually changed how I experienced Milan — instead of eating out for every meal (which gets expensive fast), I’d grab fresh ingredients from the local shops and cook simple breakfasts or late-night snacks. The apartments stay surprisingly quiet despite being in the city center, probably because the building faces away from the main traffic arteries. Parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway — everything’s walkable or a quick metro ride away.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Mila Apartments Alessi apart is that balance between independence and service — you get the freedom of your own space with the support of hotel-style management when you need it. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’ll point you toward that perfect little restaurant that’s not in any guidebook, or help you figure out the most efficient route to wherever you’re headed. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re actually living in Milan for a few days, not just passing through as another tourist.

Reviews of Mila Apartments Alessi
Loved it and would definitely be back – Annemarie from Australia – 2 October 2025 (10/10)
Location, its layout and just its overall feel was lovely
What could be improved: Needs a sofaThe stay was nice. – Dana from Slovakia – 15 May 2025 (7/10)
The location of the apartment was perfect – nearby the downtown. There was only one big blanket on the double bed, but when we asked for another one, we got it willingly.
What could be improved: The shower didn´t work properly, it needs the renovation/ repair. We also missed kitchen towel (at least the paper one)Very good – Gopal from India – 23 April 2025 (8/10)
Location .. over all very satisfied
Nice apartment but with some notable drawbacks. – Josipovic from Canada – 18 August 2024 (7/10)
Service to get in required a European number. I only use WhatsApp and this was a problem. It was resolved by the host placing the required call for me when I got to the apartment and Whatsapped the host. Basically, the host acted as a relay between me and the security desk for the front door. It was fine!
What could be improved: The main drawback is that the shower does not drain efficiently (at times it felt like it did not drain at all). I do not like making a mess when I am at home nor in a place that is not mine. It was definitely unacceptable.
There is no sofa in the room to kick back on.
There is a wall divider that is movable a bit but not enough to allow the air conditioning to reach the bedroom directly. With the divider in place, you need to blast the a/c in the kitchen so the air eventually makes it around the corner to the bedroom.
The apartment was very nice otherwise. We were a bit disappointed on the whole.Enjoyable – Sneha from Germany – 12 August 2024 (8/10)
It was very comfortable
What could be improved: A little far from the metro station therefore cost should be a little lessGood – Emuco from Albania – 4 December 2023 (7/10)
Location was good. Well equiped
What could be improved: Cimunication with the owner or managment. Not good toilets especialy shower. Broken chairs.Very goood place. – Adeboye from Nigeria – 9 September 2023 (8/10)
Good
What could be improved: It’s central and peaceful.Comfortable stay close to canal district in in Milan , – Declan from Ireland – 10 August 2023 (8/10)
Comfortable stay , good a/c ..
What could be improved: No human contact at property .. shower although modern needs deep cleanGood – Nella from Australia – 8 July 2023 (7/10)
Liked the self contained option.
Kitchen clean & functional as well as coffee machine.
The bed was clean and comfortable.
Washing machine works well and is kept clean.
Air-conditioner works well.
Almost everything that you need is there – couldn't find a chopping board but no big issue we made do.
It was an easy walk to transport & quite close to supermarket, Cafes & shops.
What could be improved: Shower very small (I'm not big) and no where to put your soap shampoo etc.. except on the floor.
Coffee not great (especially for Italy!) We bought our own, no big problem.
Lounge chairs very uncomfortable – after touring all day a shower and relax are essential , no couch to relax on. TV could be moved up a shelf – its down really low & quite awkward.
The building is old & has a wonderful charm, unfortunately it presents badly in that regard & I personally feel a good clean and dusting of the shared space would elevate the sight considerably.great location to visit milan or take few days off routinary life. – Pietro from Italy – 18 March 2023 (9/10)
location, nice establishment and large enough.
great support from staff.
