You’re positioned perfectly to explore Milan’s fashion district — I’m talking about being able to walk to the Quadrilatero della Moda without breaking a sweat. The Duomo is close enough that you’ll find yourself popping over there for evening aperitivo more often than you planned. What I love about Via Fatebenesorelle is that it’s central without being touristy, if that makes sense. You’ll see more locals heading to work than people with selfie sticks, which gives you that authentic Milan experience everyone talks about but rarely finds.

The Space

The apartment-style accommodations really work well here — you get that home-away-from-home feeling that’s perfect after long days of walking Milan’s cobblestone streets. Each unit has a proper kitchen, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out for every meal in central Milan can get expensive quickly. The design aesthetic is clean and modern, very much in line with Milan’s reputation as a design capital. My room had these great floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light, making the space feel larger than it actually was.

Practical Considerations

One thing I appreciated — and this might sound mundane but trust me, it matters — is that they’ve thought through the practical stuff. The parking situation is sorted, which if you’ve ever tried to park in central Milan, you’ll know is basically a miracle. The building has good Wi-Fi throughout, and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. You know what really impressed me though? The staff actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give specific recommendations, not just the usual tourist traps.

Look, Milan Design Flats isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in the city, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You’re paying for an excellent location and comfortable, well-designed spaces that let you live like a temporary Milanese resident. Couples especially seem to get it, probably because there’s something romantic about having your own little Milan pied-à-terre where you can grab morning coffee from the local bar downstairs and plan your day over breakfast in your own space.   Me and my husband stayed here for 4 nights and are very satisfied. The host is very nice and were in contact with us all the time and helped if we needed help. We had to leave for a train that was later than check out time, and asked for an hour more. He was nice and understanding and let us be in the apartment for one hour more. The location is nice, and we were at Centrale in aprox 30 min with walking and metro, and 15 minutes to duomo by tram and walking.

  15/17 mint walk from main train station, from Carnets main stops 5/10 mints.
  
  What could be improved: The TV isn't smart & wasn't working (note sure if was a cable problem) and the fact that I could hear the noise of the next door. walking distance from main restaurants. I found the home to be too isolated, especially at night.

  Just about 10 mins walk to Metro stations, easy to get into city centre. Facilities are great and as described in the description.
  
  What could be improved: The sensor activated light in the bedroom cupboard was activated automatically now and then during nights caused little annoyance. Also, a couple of hooks or a towel rail in bathroom would be helpful.
