The apartment setup really works here — it feels like you’re staying at a well-connected friend’s place rather than a hotel. Those two bathrooms aren’t just a nice touch, they’re genuinely practical if you’re traveling with someone or staying for more than a couple nights. The kitchen is compact but has everything you actually need (I made coffee there every morning instead of hunting down cafés). The main room has these large windows that let in tons of natural light, and you can see some interesting architectural contrasts between old Milan and the newer Porta Nuova development.

Neighborhood Character

What I really appreciated was how this area feels authentically Milanese during the day — office workers grabbing espresso, people actually living their lives — but then transforms into something more relaxed in the evenings. There’s this great little restaurant called Ratanà just a few blocks away that serves incredible risotto (the locals seem to love it, which is always a good sign). The Bosco Verticale towers are close enough to walk to for photos, but you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door.

  The apartment itself is as good as it can get. Very clean, spacious, modern, with all the equipment and amenities you could need. Good WiFi connection as well.
  
  What could be improved: Apartment is located inside a very old building with some construction work going on. The elevator is very slow and takes up to 2 mins to reach the apartment floor.

  What could be improved: The rules set for this apartment are quite unreasonable. We came as visitors to relax and enjoy our vacation, not to spend it cleaning. Of course, we understand the importance of keeping the place decent, but charging a €150 fine if the apartment isn’t cleaned or if the dishes aren’t done is excessive and disrespectful.
  
  Parking was also a big issue — there was no dedicated spot for the apartment, and every day and night we had to circle the building just to find a place. As for garbage disposal, we were told to throw it out, yet there were no clear instructions on which bins to use. This created unnecessary confusion. When we stayed in another apartment in Lake Como, none of these strict rules were applied.
  
  We are not saying we want to leave the place messy, but such fines and requirements make guests feel unwelcome. On top of that, the building itself feels abandoned and outdated, with a constant bad odor coming through every hour. The rooms are also directly above the train tracks, making it impossible to get proper rest because of the noise.

  What could be improved: We felt absolutely disappointing on the day of arrival. The apartment was on the 3rd floor and we booked it because there was elevator. However, the elevator was out of service and we were not notified beforehand. It was totally unacceptable. We were unable to pick four luggages to the 3rd floor. We just waited at the G/F for an hour, negotiating with the staff (named Michael) on the solution. Finally, we were told to store our luggages in a nearby bike shop. Michael then arranged a staff to bring them up to the apartment while we went for sightseeing. Another however, when we returned to the apartment at aound 9pm, only three luggages were there! The bike shop had already closed. We whatsapped Michael again but nothing could be done that night. It happened to be a hectic day. Finally, his staff took.the last luggage back to the apartment at 8:30am on the next day. It was an extremely bad experence.

  Bonne localisation et appartement très confortable. Belle décoration et très propre. Bien équipé avec un coin petit déjeuner (café, thé, biscottes, etc). Nous reviendrions volontiers !!
  
  What could be improved: Un peu bruyant dans les chambres surtout si on laisse la fenêtre ouverte. Processus d’arrivée peut être un peu amélioré (il avait été oublié de nous envoyer le mail d’explications).

  Beautiful apartment! Great location! 30 mins walking distance to major tourist spots. Train access right outside. Ended up travelling alone and felt absolutely safe in the building and in the area. Would certainly be back!

  Die Unterkunft war supper für uns als Familie.
  Es war alles sehr unkompliziert mit der Buchung und alles hat supper geklappt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und man hatte wirklich alles was man benötigt. Kann ich allen weiterempfehlen!
