Navigli Apartments – B Home Overview

First Impressions

Navigli Apartments – B Home sits quietly on Via Casale, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. It’s one of those unassuming buildings that blends into the residential fabric of the Navigli district — which, after staying here, I actually think works in its favor. The entrance feels more like you’re visiting a friend’s place than checking into a hotel, and there’s something refreshing about that low-key approach in a city that can feel pretty overwhelming.

The Neighborhood Advantage

You know what struck me most about this location? You’re genuinely living like a Milanese person here. The famous canals are literally a few minutes’ walk away, but you’re tucked into this quieter residential pocket where locals actually hang out. There’s a little bakery around the corner that does incredible cornetti — I mean, the kind where you smell them baking from down the street. The three-star rating might not sound fancy, but in Milan, being this close to the Navigli nightlife while still getting decent sleep is actually pretty valuable.

The Space Itself

The apartment I stayed in felt surprisingly spacious for Milan standards. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen setup — not just a mini-fridge and hopes, but actual cooking facilities with decent counter space. The room had this clean, minimalist thing going on that some people might find a bit stark, but I appreciated not having to navigate around unnecessary furniture. The bathroom was compact but functional, and honestly, the water pressure was better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at in the city center.

Daily Life Details

Here’s where this place really makes sense — it’s designed for people who want to actually experience Milan, not just pass through it. Having that kitchen means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local market (there’s a good one about ten minutes away) and cook dinner instead of eating out every single meal. The Wi-Fi held up fine for work calls, and there’s enough space to spread out if you’re traveling for more than just a quick weekend. Parking can be tricky in this area, but that’s Milan for you — most guests seem to rely on public transport anyway.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the kind of place with a fancy lobby or room service, but that’s sort of the point. What you get instead is a genuine slice of Milan life in one of the city’s most interesting neighborhoods. The value proposition here is pretty solid — you’re paying reasonable rates to stay in an area where most hotels would cost significantly more, and you’re getting the independence of an apartment setup. It works especially well if you’re planning to explore the Navigli scene, since you can stumble home from dinner and drinks without dealing with taxis or night buses.

Exploring Milan blends Renaissance art heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour lights.

First of all check in time was 14:00,the host was not friendly he came at 14:09,the wifi extremely does not exist anywhere, the bathroom was a disaster you need to wash the bathroom first and to wash yourself,i asked him for radiator because it became colder and no answe since the day that we check out,and finally when i get the key at the safe box he told me “thanks” the warm was very nessesary because you can’sleep and this is the reason that i tried to wash time by time to have a good sleeping. I have 2 apartaments with booking in my country that i live and i never been so bad with guests, guest is moore superpower than money. Thanks.

  • Terrible, do not stay here. – Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 27 September 2025 (1/10)

If you want to stay in Navigli then this is very central.

What could be improved: The room was not cleaned from the last guest, so we got moved to a clean apartment, both of which were in a poor state of repair and smelled bad. The bed was very uncomfortable in the one we stayed in. It was noisy as it was so close to the busy tourist trap restaurants. Not what we hoped for at all. The video guide, though helpful in theory, had outdated information on it, which was confusing. We refused to stay more than one night and found a hotel for the same price, closer to central Milan. It was not worth what we paid at all. We brought our issues to the attention of the host and after they tried to defend the fact they had fixed their mistake and still wanted us to stay, I explained as above but have not heard back and presume they do not care. Overall, it was a terrible experience with a booking.

  • Very good – Owen from United Kingdom – 15 September 2025 (8/10)

Location was good for public transport links. Within 15 minutes of Milan Centrale and the Duomo as well as being in the heart of Navigli which we loved. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The information provided by the host was very clear which made checking in easy and all of the recommendations they provided was a nice touch.

What could be improved: Wasn’t a huge problem for us as we were out late most nights but it was loud outside until the early hours of the morning. There was then bin men at around 6AM which were also loud. May not be ideal if a light sleeper.

  • Comodo e pratico, esattamente ciò che cercavo! – Francesca from Italy – 31 August 2025 (8/10)

La posizione è veramente il punto di forza.

What could be improved: Il Wi-Fi non funzionava benissimo

  • Bad – Roberto from Australia – 24 August 2025 (1/10)

What could be improved: False advertising as in the joinery and furniture and general feel of place different from what shown on the photos.
Wall Light detached from wall with wire exposed unsafe!
Mould in the bathroom not igienic,
Floor board lifting up from floor becoming a trip ahazard.
Furniture is old and ruined. Furniture has cat scratchrs needed to be replace. The air conditioning not working filter extreamly dirty as well. The, lock to internal security door not working, half of shower door missing, bedroom side table missing one supporting leg and unstable, terrible acoustic, sounds coming from bars situated below, didn't sleep. Matress in M bed bigger then supporting frame therefore not flat, like sleeping on sloping surface. We had to vacate early into a hotel. The host did not respond to any of our concerns. Do not book this place you will be disappointed.

  • Great location, responsive hosts, great value. Close to wonderful gluten free restaurants and scenic walk along the cana – Jay from Canada – 23 July 2025 (8/10)

Great location, responsive hosts, great value. Close to wonderful gluten free restaurants and scenic walk along the canal. Loved having morning coffee on the balcony.

  • Clean, comfortable, well located but noisy – Jane from Australia – 27 May 2025 (8/10)

The apartment had everything we required, was comfortable, easy to access and located in a great area, but this also brought a negative re noise.. it was very noisy into the early hours, then quiet until the street cleaners arrived early.

What could be improved: The apartment was comfortable, clean. Our only issue was noise

  • Despite some issues mentioned above, we enjoyed Milan. – Siriwan from United States – 25 April 2025 (8/10)

Great location, lots of restaurants nearby, close to public transportation. Washer machine and dishwasher were the bonus.

What could be improved: No info given on unloading the luggages at the apartment from our car since cars not allowed on the street. The building was slight rundown, we were unable to open the window due to construction. There was black material came out of the a/c and also water dripping. We cleaned the floor several times. We contacted the owner but he was off duty. The handle of the shower came off.

  • Dark, noisy, under renovation with no privacy or curtains – nothing like the photos. Very unpleasant – Juszuf from Hungary – 23 April 2025 (1/10)

What could be improved: The accommodation was far from what the photos and description promised. The room was dark and worn down, the walls were dirty in several spots, the sofa was stained, the bathroom had moldy grout, and the shower lever kept falling off during use. One of the most serious issues was the lack of proper curtains or blinds – only a small piece of fabric barely covered the window, offering no privacy whatsoever.

On top of that, the entire building was surrounded by scaffolding due to exterior renovation works – something we were not informed about at all beforehand. The construction workers started making loud noise from 7 a.m. every morning with drilling and hammering, making it impossible to rest. From the scaffolding, there was a direct view into the apartment, and with no proper window covering, this situation became extremely uncomfortable and invasive.

The host kept promising a solution, but only on the very last day was a temporary covering placed over the windows. However, due to the scaffolding, the windows couldn’t be opened anymore, turning the apartment into a dark, unlivable box.

This apartment and the entire experience were unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It was misleading, disappointing, and a complete waste of money.

Considering how beautiful the neighborhood is, the stay was a major letdown.
For the price paid, I expected much more – in this condition, the apartment should not have been available for rent at all.

  • Exceptional – Coraline from France – 2 April 2025 (10/10)

The location is top. The apartment is clean and nice.
