The Stazione Centrale area has this authentic, working Milan energy that you just don’t get in the more polished tourist zones. You’ve got excellent transport connections (obviously, with the main train station right there), but what I really appreciated was how the neighborhood comes alive in the evenings. There are these little aperitivo spots tucked between office buildings, and the whole area feels like where actual Milanese people go about their daily lives.

The Space Itself

Walking into your room at Nice Livings Gioia, you immediately notice they’ve gone for a modern apartment-style setup rather than traditional hotel decor. The kitchen area is actually functional — I mean, you could genuinely prepare meals here if you wanted to. The design feels clean and contemporary, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in surprising amounts of light for a city center location. What struck me was how they’ve managed to make relatively compact spaces feel quite spacious.

Practical Matters

The wifi is solid throughout the building, which matters when you’re trying to coordinate day trips or work remotely. Parking is available, though like everywhere in Milan, it comes at a premium — but having the option beats circling blocks looking for street spots. The staff genuinely knows the area well; they pointed me toward a fantastic restaurant about three blocks away that I never would’ve found on my own. It’s these small touches that make the 8.3 rating make sense.

Why Guests Love It

You know what really works about this place? It’s that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment independence. You’re not stuck in tourist central, but you’re also not stranded somewhere inconvenient. The Porta Garibaldi business district is walkable, the nightlife around Corso Buenos Aires is close enough for evening plans, and when you need to catch trains or get to the airports, you’re already in the right neighborhood.   Sana i hope im saying it right, maybe the host or the partner or care taker was excellent! She met us at the door and showed us all the important things. Also provided was a binder with every possible information you might need for the trip like places to see and even how to work appliances in the place. It was clean and just as pictured. Its close from the centrale station but sandrio metro station is like a min walk and you can directly go to the duomo. We enjoyed our stay very much

  The location was excellent and apartment was comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: Collecting the keys did not match the instructions given when we booked, and repeated in multiple emails. We were told there was no reception, so we must make an appointment to meet someone at the property. We made an appointment to meet someone between 1400 and 1500. We waited at the front of the building more than an hour from 1400 to 1515, and no one met us, even though we sent a text message that we were waiting. We had assumed the building was locked, but finally followed someone going in. It turned out a guard or receptionist called the booking assistant who was in the building all the time, but never bothered to meet our appointment.

  Nice flat, conveniently located close to main train station -and metro station. Clean, spacious, with window shutters (even had mosquito nets!). Only spent one night but very handy for our purposes.
  
  What could be improved: As in other places, checkout time is 10am -we were allowed to leave the bags though, which was great- and check in only at 15h. It's not a major issue though.
