Numa Milan Camperio Overview

First Impressions

Numa Milan Camperio sits on a quiet street that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos, even though you’re literally in the heart of Milan. I mean, Via Camperio isn’t exactly where you’d expect to find a hotel — it’s more residential, lined with those classic Milanese buildings that make you feel like you’ve stumbled into a local secret. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly Italian way, and honestly, that’s exactly what drew me in.

The Smart Stay Experience

This four-star place operates on a pretty clever concept — it’s essentially serviced apartments but with hotel-style comfort. You get your own compact apartment with a proper kitchenette, which is brilliant when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby markets. The check-in process is completely digital (they send you codes), so there’s no waiting around a lobby. It’s surprisingly smooth, though you do need to be comfortable with tech.

Location Deep Dive

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re a five-minute walk from the Duomo, but you’re staying where actual Milanese people live and work. The Brera district starts just around the corner, and that morning walk through the cobblestone streets with an espresso in hand? That’s the Milan experience you actually want. Plus, the Cairoli metro station is right there, so you can easily reach Navigli for dinner or the fashion quadrilateral for shopping.

The Living Space

The room — well, apartment really — makes smart use of every inch. Everything’s modern and clean, with that minimalist Scandinavian-meets-Italian design that feels both cozy and functional. The bed is genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the little dining area actually works if you want to eat in. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, and you know what? Having your own washing machine after a week of travel was a game-changer.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets Numa Milan Camperio apart is how it lets you live like a temporary local rather than just passing through. You can cook your own breakfast with fresh pastries from the bakery down the street, or head to the nearby restaurant that’s packed with Milanese families on Sunday lunch. The building’s quiet at night — crucial in a city center — and the whole experience feels authentic without trying too hard. It’s perfect for travelers who want independence but don’t want to sacrifice comfort or location.

Reviews of Numa Milan Camperio

  • Great location in city center and also quiet – Wanfang from United States – 29 November 2025 (9/10)

    Keyless entry

What could be improved: There’s half eaten ice cream in the fridge

    Window cover not dark enough,

  • Great location, comfortable and clean! – Rosa from Mexico – 28 November 2025 (9/10)

    Great location and clean!

What could be improved: Small number of lockers

  • Comfortable stop over in an interesting building – Nigel from Australia – 17 November 2025 (9/10)

Excellent location. Room comfortable. Bed comfortable. The main staircase has great presence!

What could be improved: A little tricky to find correct apartment even with instructions in the evening when no one at desk. This is because we were top floor along a winding corridor and with a curved set of stairs for the last bit. Great once there but not before the code didn’t work on the door as we had not been received (passports had to be sighted and no one at desk). Once this was resolved after a ten minute wait it all fell into place and the lady at desk was very polite and apologetic.

  • Very good, very enjoyable – Dave from Ireland – 1 November 2025 (8/10)

    Location fantastic. Clean. Nice staff.

What could be improved: The bed was 2 single beds pushed together but we’re at different heights and separated during sleep

  • Not a bad base from which to visit downtown Milan. – Timothy from United States – 30 October 2025 (8/10)

The location was excellent, within just a few minutes walk of both the duomo and the castle, but far enough from the main streets to be pretty quiet. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the building seemed to have a lot of character.

What could be improved: Hot water wasn’t reliable in the shower, and our door access code never worked quite right (though the person working at the front desk was very helpful in trying to get that sorted out.) Despite this we’d likely stay here again.

  • Pleasant and convenient. – Xiqing from China – 9 October 2025 (9/10)

In the center of the city, walking distance to many tourist spots. And the apartment is pretty spacious, with a separate living room. Everything was clean. And there is air conditioning. So the stay here was very pleasant.

What could be improved: There was a false fire alarm very late at night… Also, there was no instruction of how to open the entrance to the building from inside in English. It will be helpful to have one.

  • Great location! – Katherine from United States – 25 September 2025 (8/10)

The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. They helped us select restaurants for dinner. Breakfast was delicious especially the coffee!

What could be improved: The setting for the air conditioner was difficult. It was hard to get a comfortable settimg.

  • Good location and a great base for exploring. – Megan from United Kingdom – 23 August 2025 (8/10)

Location was a highlight for this property. The rooms were generous in size, with very comfy and clean beds, bathrooms and kitchenette areas. Would recommend as a base for your time in Milan.

What could be improved: Staff unfortunately weren't the most helpful and we were left outside for 22 minutes, without any assistance when our key code didn't work. Building work outside our room was noisy and we weren't re-warned about this.

  • Very good – Shimon from Israel – 18 August 2025 (8/10)

Size of the room, friendly staff , ready to help

What could be improved: Payed for breakfast, but on that day, the kitchen didn't work, and guys said that we'll get a refund for the breakfast. Around 8 o'clock in the morning, in the opposite building, workers stared constructions 🚧 with unbelievable noise 😳. For all these problems, guys gave us 20% discount for future travel.

  • Overall a good stay, amazing location but no in-person staff to help with any issues. – Andrew from United States – 15 August 2025 (7/10)

    Great location, clean and spacious.

What could be improved: Persistent issues with the code to both open the front door and then our room itself.

Plumbing was not great—sink handle was loose and shower drain was slow, which led to backup of water (kind of gross).
