Parco Sempione is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and you know what? On Sunday mornings, it’s where families gather and kids play football while their parents read newspapers on benches.

The Space Itself

This four-star place operates more like a boutique apartment than a traditional hotel, which explains the intimate feel. Each room has been thoughtfully designed with contemporary Italian furniture — not the generic hotel stuff you see everywhere, but pieces that actually complement the space. The kitchen areas are compact but functional, perfect for preparing a simple breakfast or storing those Italian delicacies you’ll inevitably pick up from local markets.

Local Rhythms

What strikes me most is how the staff seems to understand Milan’s rhythms. They’ll suggest aperitivo spots that locals frequent (there’s this wine bar about three blocks away that doesn’t even have a proper sign), and they actually know which metro lines are running smoothly on any given day.   Our stay in this apartment was excellent. The location is very good it's close to the city center and there is a metro station, supermarket, coffee shops and ice-cream shop near it. Getting in the apartment was very easy by following the instructions. The apartment had perfect accommodations, and the staff was very helpful and responsive.I highly recommend staying here.

  The apartament was looking great, very stylish and well-designed. The sofa was cozy and the bedroom as well. We had all the necessary facilities and also the location is close enough to everything. We were able to walk to Duomo zone or take the subway to Centrale Station. I would come back for sure if we'll have another trip to Milano.
  
  What could be improved: It seemed that we were at someone's house, not at a rental apartment. There were plenty of personal photos. Also, the bed linen was broken – I will replace it to avoid some bad reviews in the future (for us wasn't such a big problem and this comes only as a suggestion as we really liked the apartment).

  The apartment is located in a nice neighborhood and is surrounded by all important contents. Right behind the building is a large supermarket and the neighborhood has lots of restaurants and cafes. Public transport is near. If you choose to wallk you need 30-40 minutes to the center.
  The apartment is on the 4th floor of an older building. The building has an elevator that is a bit old (wooden doors) and small but works perfectly. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings, beautifully and tastefully decorated. The owner of the apartment left some decorative items, photos and books that give you the feeling that you are in the apartment of a good friend. All essential items are inside (iron, washing machine, hair dryer, etc.).
  
  What could be improved: Small details that make the difference between great and fantastic accommodation:
  – there is a smell of moisture in the apartment upon entering (later we noticed light stains on the ceiling), but they are not big or terrible,
  – there is no hanger for towels/clothes in the bathroom
  – the pressure on the shower is weak and the shower head works poorly
  – we couldn't find the remote control for the climate control (we might have looked for it longer if it was really cold, but it should be immediately visible)
  – when I called the PrimoPiano host's cell phone – no one answered, and they didn't respond to the email I sent – it wasn't important, but it would have been the same if it was urgent.
  
  Recommendation to the owner/host:
  I understand that you want your guests to leave the apartment clean, but you can write it in a way that doesn't sound like a threat. The warning about storing/washing dishes and charging for cleaning sounds insulting. The same message but with a slightly nicer tone would leave a much better impression on me.
  Writing to the guest that this is a self-catering apartment (no sugar, salt, etc.) but that he can use leftovers if someone left them also says a lot about the host. The price of a little sugar, salt, oil and two capsules of coffee is negligible and can cost you a good rating on the booking.
