First Impressions

When I first pulled up to R39 Attic with Terrace and Private Parking, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical — the building looks pretty ordinary from Via Giuseppe Regaldi. But honestly, that turned out to be part of its charm. This four-star gem sits quietly in a residential area that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re still in Milan proper. The private parking spot was already a win in my book — finding parking in this city is usually a nightmare.

The Space

The attic setup is actually brilliant. You climb up to what feels like your own private world, complete with slanted ceilings that somehow make the whole place feel cozy rather than cramped. The room flows naturally into different areas — there’s a proper seating space, a compact but well-equipped kitchen area, and everything you need without feeling cluttered. I mean, they’ve really thought about how to use every inch of space effectively.

The Terrace Experience

But here’s where this place really shines — that terrace. It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly positioned and completely private. I spent my mornings up there with coffee, looking out over the neighborhood’s mix of old Milan architecture and everyday Italian life. You know what struck me? It felt like I was actually living in Milan, not just visiting it. The evening light up there is something else entirely, especially when you can hear the city settling down for dinner.

Location & Getting Around

Via Giuseppe Regaldi might not sound familiar, but it’s actually in a sweet spot near Isola district. There’s this great local market just a few blocks away where I grabbed fresh ingredients for breakfast — something you’d never discover staying in the city center. The metro connections are solid too; I could get to the Duomo in about 20 minutes, but coming back to this quieter neighborhood felt like a proper retreat each evening.

Why Guests Love It

Look, if you want a typical hotel experience with room service and a concierge, this isn’t your place. But if you’re the type who likes having your own space to spread out, cook a simple meal, and feel like you’re getting a real taste of how Milanese actually live, then you’ll get it. The 9.8 rating makes sense — it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does, it does really well. Plus, not having to circle the block looking for parking every time you want to explore? Priceless in Milan.

  The location is great, there are restaurants, cafes, supermarkets nearby and the metro station too… The apartment is very clean, has new furniture, is spacious, has a fully equipped kitchen, a mini bar, a dishwasher, a washing machine, an iron, and a wonderful, wide balcony. There is also free private parking for the apartment. The price was very reasonable… Luca & Family treated us wonderfully, friendly, kindly and with all respect. I thank them.

  Malo je reći da smo oduševljeni smeštajem.Izuzetno lep apartman sa svim što je potrebno.U dvorištu smo parkirali kola tako da su bila bezbedna što nam je bilo važno.Naš domaćin Luka nam je u porukama poslao uputstva i savete o Milanu i šta obići.Poslušali smo ga🙂

  Super herzliche Gastgeber-Familie, die auch betreffend Sightseeing und Kulinarik Tipps bereithält. Tolle, modern eingerichtete Wohnung, mit Terrasse. Für unseren Besuch im Legend Club ideal gelegen.

  Alles top gerne jederzeit wieder unser Auto stand super im Hof sehr netter Kontakt über WhatsApp und sofort das ist unglaublich. Das Appartement ist top Alles neu und sehr sauber die metro fährt um die Ecke ca 400 meter ab und direkt zum Dom ohne umsteigen also besser 20 Sterne

  The terracce was nice to sit at the evening, nice and clean flat, newly renovated. Good beds with clean linens. The ac worked and a flat was cool.
  
  What could be improved: From the photos it was not visible that this is one bedroom apartment – living room with sofa bed and kitchen is in the same room. Note this if travelling in group and would like separate rooms. The hallway to the apartment was in semi-finished state, with no lights switches and cables sticking out of walls.

  Apartment was newly renovated and came with everything we needed and more. As we arrived the host was already waiting for us at the front gate and welcomed us in. The apartment was beautifully prepared and cleaned before our stay. Although we didn’t use the terrace it’s perfect chilling spot if it weren’t for the scorching temperatures in Milano that weekend.
  The bulding is close to everything you need, 5min walk to the metro station which leads to city centre.
  
  What could be improved: No complaints.
