First Impressions

When I first walked up to Romana Loft, I’ll be honest — I wasn’t sure what to expect from this apartment tucked away on Via Bernardo Quaranta. The address sounds intimidating, but it’s actually in the Ripamonti Corvetto area, which locals know as one of those neighborhoods that’s quietly becoming really interesting. The building itself has that classic Milanese charm, and climbing to the first piano (that’s the first floor for us non-Italians) felt like I was heading to visit a stylish friend rather than checking into a hotel.

The Space That Surprises

This four-star loft completely changed my expectations of what Milan accommodation could be. The room — well, it’s more like your own private urban retreat — has these gorgeous high ceilings and windows that actually let in proper light, which is rarer than you’d think in the city center. The industrial-chic design works perfectly here, with exposed elements that feel intentional rather than unfinished. You know what struck me most? The space feels authentically Milanese, not like some generic hotel trying to mimic local style.

Location and Local Life

Ripamonti Corvetto isn’t touristy, which honestly made my stay so much better. You’re close enough to reach Milan‘s main attractions without dealing with the crowds right outside your door. The metro connections are solid — I could get to Duomo in about 20 minutes, but I also discovered this amazing local market just a few blocks away where actual Milanese people do their shopping. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like real city life rather than a tourist bubble.

Practical Comforts

The kitchenette situation is actually pretty great if you want to grab fresh ingredients from that market I mentioned. I mean, you don’t have to cook, but having the option made me feel more settled, especially during a longer stay. The parking arrangement worked out smoothly too — not always a given in Milan, where finding a spot can turn into an adventure you didn’t sign up for. Everything just felt well thought out without being overly complicated.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.8 rating makes perfect sense once you experience how this place operates. It’s the kind of accommodation that gets the balance right — sophisticated enough to feel special, but relaxed enough that you can actually unwind after a day of exploring Milan’s sometimes intense energy. The loft gives you space to breathe while keeping you connected to what makes this city tick. Honestly, it’s the sort of place that makes you consider extending your stay, which is probably the best compliment I can give any hotel.

  Romana Loft is a convenient place to stay in Milan. It might seem a bit far from the city center, but it is not. There is a bus stop just outside the residence, and the tram stop (tram No. 24) is only 200m away on Via Ripamonti, which gets you to the center in 10 minutes, or less if you want to get to a metro station. There are three big supermarkets very close by, as well as bakery-coffee shops. The area is quiet, and the residence is clean and fully equipped.
  
  What could be improved: The accommodation needs a slight refresh, and the bathroom ventilation (at the top of the shower) requires cleaning.

  Apartamentai puikūs, šeimininkė paslaugi, greitai atsako į žinutes. Netrūko nieko pradedant rankšluosčiais ir kt. higenos reikmenimis..Net kavos buvo pasivaišinimui. Viskas puiku.

  The furniture is new. Everything is very clean. Very good internet connection. You will find there all what you need from towels to toilet paper or shampoo. You do not need to carry anything, especially when flying.

  Πανέμορφο, άνετο και πάρα πάρα πολύ καθαρό! Δεν υπήρχε καμία έλλειψη σε προϊόντα και αντικείμενα (από πιάτα και ποτήρια μέχρι σαμπουάν και πιστολάκι). Μείναμε πάρα πολύ ευχαριστημένοι, το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα!
