SkyView Nolo Studio Via Varanini Overview
First Impressions
SkyView Nolo Studio Via Varanini sits in one of Milan’s most interesting neighborhoods — honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first arrived. The building itself has that modern Italian vibe, clean lines without being sterile, and you can tell this three-star place puts effort into the details. The lobby’s compact but welcoming, and the staff actually seemed to remember guests’ names after a day or two.
The Nolo Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying here — Nolo (that’s North of Loreto, if you’re wondering) feels like real Milan. You’re not stuck in the tourist bubble around Duomo, but you’re not exactly in the middle of nowhere either. There’s this great morning buzz with locals grabbing coffee, and I found some seriously good aperitivo spots just wandering around. The metro connection is solid too, so getting to the center takes maybe 15 minutes on a good day.
The Studio Space
The room — well, studio really — surprised me with how thoughtfully designed it was. You’ve got this decent-sized space that doesn’t feel cramped, which is saying something for Milan. The kitchenette isn’t huge, but I managed to make coffee and heat up pastries from the bakery downstairs without any drama. What really caught my attention was how quiet it stayed at night, despite being on a fairly busy street.
Practical Details
Look, this isn’t a place with a fancy restaurant or elaborate room service — you’re basically getting a really well-executed studio apartment experience. The Wi-Fi actually works (miracle in some Milan hotels, trust me), and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram unnecessary amenities into the space — sometimes less really is more, you know?
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me most about SkyView Nolo is how it gets the balance right between being affordable and not making you feel like you’re roughing it. The location gives you that authentic Milan neighborhood experience while keeping you connected to everything else. I mean, you’re paying reasonable rates and getting a clean, comfortable base that actually feels like a tiny Milan apartment rather than just another hotel room. For travelers who want to experience the city like a local — even if just for a few days — this place delivers without the pretense.

Reviews of SkyView Nolo Studio Via Varanini
Good place and location, just could improve the method for hand in the keys – Karine from Ireland – 26 November 2025 (7/10)
The location was very good and the flat very clean and confortable. Ideal for 2 people maximum. We stayed only 2 days, but if you want to stay more this is a good place as it has everything needed in a house.
What could be improved: The method to pick-up the keys is really bad, you need to go to another location to pick-up the keys and you only have 3hours of the day that you can do that. If you arrive later than 6pm, you need to pay more just to get the keys… I've never seen something like this and it was such an inconvenience.uncomfortable – Haruka from Japan – 13 October 2025 (4/10)
What could be improved: There was a limitation on the hot water supply, and on the second day, no hot water came out. They said that if we operated the boiler, hot water would be available in 20 minutes, but in reality, it took over an hour. I was worried I might catch a cold.
Super place for visit of Milan and enjoy city atmosphere – Miroslav from Slovakia – 30 May 2025 (9/10)
Big terrace with nice luxury view on historical church in front. Cosy place with all neded equipment from coffee maker and flat TV to kitchen tools like pan and wine opener 🙂 Also location is fine, good cafes and bars, grocery really nearby and also to Milano Central Station by foot app. 15min.
What could be improved: Quite small for 2 people as double-bed is made from single-bed and also kitchen tools could be more clean. But thats all, everything else was great.I let Hostmates know that, since the airport was quite farther away from the property than what I believed, I would not – Csellers41273 from United States – 15 June 2024 (6/10)
if you like being right in the city, it’s fine. If you don’t need any room to walk around, it’s fine. There is literally less than a foot of space between the bed and the wall where you have to walk behind the bed to get to the bathroom.
What could be improved: The place is a lot smaller than depicted in the pictures that I saw. I don’t know if they updated the advertisement when they updated the name of the property and all that but the picture showed a washer inside the room or made it seem that way. There was no washer. You have to use a laundry room. I don’t even know if you’re allowed to go in there if you don’t live there. being that you have to go behind the bed to go to bathroom is an inconvenience being that as I stated there is barely any room to walk between the bed and the wall. I don’t think it was worth my money.Very good – Kseniia from Ukraine – 5 May 2024 (8/10)
Pleasant terrace (especially if you like doing yoga in the morning). Can be too hot in summer after 11am though.
Nice cozy place for a solo traveller even if you need to spend 3-4 night in Milan. Good bathroom, all needed kitchen facilities. Okay transport communication.
Quiet street.
BTW, after reading reviews I was concerned about little space and bed blocking entrance to the bathroom. In fact, it was absolutely okay, unless you're 100kgs.
What could be improved: I wish wifi connection had been stronger on the terrace.
Kinda far from the centre.
Only 1 tram line goes close to the flat (metro station is a bit distant). In the evening time, trams are badly packed.
Only 1 restaurant in the neighbourhoods. Still there's a good supermarket in a reasonable walking distance.Recomend this from the bottom of my heart! 🙂 – Filip from Serbia – 21 March 2024 (9/10)
I have to say these hosts are some of the best I've had in my travels. Also, the room is very clean, bright, the water is hot, the bathroom is tidy and everything works great. THE TERRACE IS AMAZING! Morning coffee on it with a view of the whole of Milan is really a wonderful experience! In terms of accommodation, there is not a single thing that I would write, even if I tried really hard, that would be bad.
What could be improved: The only downside to this accommodation is key collection. There is a possibility to pick up the keys at the address itself, but this is charged in the amount of about 20% of the overnight stay, which is too much. The collection of keys is 10 minutes from the accommodation, which is not far, but it is unnecessary. Code boxes can be placed and keys can be taken more easily. This casts a shadow on the accommodation itself, but again – ACCOMMODATION IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. And regardless of this, a warm recommendation!Very good – Sarah from United Kingdom – 27 November 2023 (8/10)
The apartment was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the terrace was lovely!
What could be improved: The water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but for the price I couldn't fault it!Passable – Chelsea from Australia – 25 June 2023 (5/10)
What could be improved: The trundle bed was broken and tied together with plastic bags, was uncomfortable until we stabilised the bed
Pleasant – Mohammad from Spain – 29 May 2023 (6/10)
Amaunt of shampoo was less
Room was cold and blanket was thin
Going to the toilet around the bed was hardsmall but clean & nice – Gunay from Poland – 21 May 2023 (8/10)
nice & very clean with a terrace, coffee machine and fast internet.
What could be improved: extra charge if you pick up key after 18.30, bed narrows the way to the bathroom.
