But here’s the thing: you’re literally five minutes from trains that’ll take you anywhere in Italy, and the metro connections are fantastic. Plus, there’s this little restaurant around the corner on Via Spontini that does incredible risotto — the kind of place locals actually eat at, not tourist traps.

What Works Well

The staff actually knows what they’re doing, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is sometimes. They helped me figure out the trickier metro routes and gave solid recommendations for groceries nearby. The Wi-Fi is reliable (I worked from there for three days without issues), and the shower pressure is honestly better than places I’ve stayed that cost twice as much. There’s parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in Milan — though I’d honestly recommend against it.

  Many thanks to the host Antonio for the precise instructions that helped us settle in quickly and without any problems. We liked the location, close to the central station and 4 metro stops to the Duomo. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a small built-in kitchen and a washing machine.

  The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the location was good (10 min walk to the train station). Apartment was quite large for 2 people.
  
  What could be improved: There were some problems with the facilities. The shower was functioning but not properly, the toilet had some problems with the flushing from time to time. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. Would be nice if the host provides some mosquito plugs for the apartment.

  Great location, the main train station is 10 minutes away. You can get to Duomo by metro which is 3 minutes away. Great neighbourhood, a lot of choice for restaurants and shops. Easy check in and communication with the host. The apartment is simply equipped and it is great for shorter stays. Wifi was excellent. The apartment has two small balconies with nice views which adds to experiencing the city.

  Amazing location near shops, stores, public transport to M1 and M2. It is a lively neighborhood so public transport noice was expected. The bed in the bedroom was amazing
