Location & Getting Around

Here’s what the travel guides don’t always tell you about this area — you’re perfectly positioned between the Portello district’s modern developments and Milan’s historic center, but without paying those crazy central prices. The Portello metro station is literally a few minutes’ walk, which puts you at Duomo in about 15 minutes. But honestly, some of my favorite moments were just wandering the neighborhood streets, discovering those little family-run cafes and shops that locals actually use.

  The apartment was clean, well organised and had everything you need, including towels, soap and shower soap. Comfortable bed and good location for getting to central Milan as the tram stop is just outside and takes 20 minutes to the centre.
  
  What could be improved: There are people / the owners staying just next door and they decided to allow themselves in on the first night which was a disturbing experience to say the least, arguing we should have locked the door, but other than that we never saw them again.

  Appartamento accogliente, curato, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo per la città. Il check-in e check-out autonomo, accessori e servizi basilari disponibili: specchi, phon, angolo cucina (che non abbiamo avuto necessità di utilizzare). Ben collegato con bus e tram a due passi (la metro non è vicinissima), CityLife raggiungibile a piedi (in circa 20 minuti).
  
  What could be improved: Degli appendini in bagno e un appendiabiliti in camera sarebbero utili. Consigliabile anche l'aggiunta di una tenda alla finestra per maggiore privacy, invece della sola tapparella oscurante. I cuscini bassi (fornirei un'alternativa). La zona di notte è un po' cupa.

  What could be improved: Bedbugs alerts!!! They have bedbugs inside the bed, and my whole body got bite at night during sleep, the owner didn’t reply any messages and ignored my request of compensation for medication.

  Easy and convenient check-in. The place is equipped with everything one may need for a comfortable and convenient stay.
  
  What could be improved: In a little outskirts of the city centre, the area is easily accessible via trams and buses.
