It’s a three-star setup, but the modern touches and clean lines make it feel more upscale than you’d expect.

Location & Getting Around

Via Palermo puts you right in Milan City Centre, and I mean really central. You can walk to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes, or hop on the metro at Moscova station — it’s literally around the corner. What I love about this street is that it’s busy enough to feel safe at night but not so touristy that you can’t find a decent espresso at a normal price. The neighborhood has that authentic Milanese energy, with locals heading to work and actual Italian families living nearby.

The Space

The apartment I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for Milan standards. The kitchen has everything you actually need — not just a mini-fridge and hopes. I mean, there’s a proper stovetop, decent-sized refrigerator, and enough counter space to make breakfast or heat up leftovers from that incredible risotto you couldn’t finish. The room setup varies depending on which unit you get, but mine had tall ceilings and windows that actually opened wide (something you don’t always get in city center accommodations).

Practical Details

Here’s what actually matters: the Wi-Fi works well, the shower has good pressure, and the air conditioning keeps up with Milan’s summer heat. Parking isn’t provided on-site, but honestly, you don’t want a car in this part of Milan anyway. The building’s entrance requires a code, which made me feel secure coming back late after exploring the Navigli district. One thing to note — it’s on the second floor with no elevator, so pack light or be ready for a bit of a climb.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.3 rating makes sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers on what matters: a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location at a reasonable price. You get the independence of having your own space without sacrificing the proximity to everything Milan has to offer. The staff responds quickly when you need them, but otherwise leaves you alone to enjoy the city. For travelers who want to experience Milan like a temporary resident rather than a tourist passing through, this place hits the sweet spot.
