Spiga 50 by Cortivo House Overview
First Impressions
Spiga 50 by Cortivo House sits right where you’d want to be in Milan — smack in the middle of the fashion district on Via della Spiga. Honestly, when I first walked up to this four-star property, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the understated entrance. But that’s sort of the point here; it’s deliberately low-key in a neighborhood where everything else is trying pretty hard to impress you.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re literally surrounded by some of the best shopping in Europe, which means you’ll probably spend more money than planned — fair warning. The Quadrilatero della Moda is your playground here, and I mean that in the best way possible. What I really appreciate is how you can duck into this quiet street and escape the chaos of the main shopping thoroughfares. Via Montenapoleone metro is about a three-minute walk, so getting around the city is actually pretty straightforward.
The Rooms
The room design leans modern without being cold, if that makes sense. Clean lines, decent space for Milan standards, and they’ve clearly put thought into the lighting — which honestly matters more than people realize. The bathrooms are well-done, though not huge, and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. Air conditioning works properly too, which you’ll definitely need during summer months.
Amenities & Service
There’s no full restaurant on-site, but the breakfast setup is solid and the staff knows the neighborhood well enough to point you toward good local spots. What struck me was how the front desk actually seemed to care about helping rather than just going through the motions. The building itself feels more like a boutique operation than a chain hotel, which shows in the personal touches and attention to detail.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest place in Milan, but it gets the fundamentals right in a location that’s hard to beat. You’re paying for the address as much as the accommodation, and honestly, that trade-off makes sense here. The 7.6 rating feels about right — it’s good, not mind-blowing, but you’ll probably be too busy exploring the neighborhood to spend much time worrying about hotel amenities anyway. For what it is and where it is, Spiga 50 delivers exactly what most travelers actually need.

Reviews of Spiga 50 by Cortivo House
Milan is a beautiful, friendly city and our location was excellent. – Moira from United Kingdom – 1 November 2025 (4/10)
The beds were comfortable, towels and bedding clean. A/C good control. Showers good.
What could be improved: Lots of small faults with plugs, toilet brushes, toilet roll holders, no toaster, only one teaspoon, had to buy batteries for A/C controls, there was a strange odour around the toilets and there were strangely placed water tanks and meters. Decoration poor, damage to woodwork, particularly shower rooms – none of these were significant in themselves but overall the accommodation did not convey the feeling that we were valued visitors.
In addition to this we were informed, the week before we arrived, that there would be building work. We agreed to continue our booking as it would have been very difficult to find an alternative, on the basis of work from 8.00 – 16.00. However, the work started earlier on two days, until we objected. In addition the work was very intrusive and resulted in dust and plaster falling on the stairs and in the upper bedroom. This happened on two occasions. We contacted the property each time and received an apology but no redress was offered.Great location, nice, clean and all facilities that we need we’re there. – Amit from Israel – 7 August 2025 (10/10)
Location is excellent. Close to everything.
The apartment has all we need.
What could be improved: None. All suited to our needs.good for 7 persons overall, clean , location – Andria from Cyprus – 23 May 2025 (9/10)
location is top! very central! the host was very helpful. we had warm welcoming.😃 easy access
What could be improved: the main room unfortunately was very noisy because of the road. But we had the chance to sleep on the sofa bed in the living roomGood – Juliette from Lebanon – 24 April 2025 (7/10)
Nice and clean building in fancy area.
What could be improved: Main bedroom is on a very busy street and window does not close properly so it was very noisy. Bathrooms are very tight and small.great stay, great location would stop again. – Gemma from United Kingdom – 22 February 2025 (10/10)
great location. Lovely building and comfortable
What could be improved: nothingVery good – Soostar from Estonia – 13 November 2024 (8/10)
Clean and nice apartment. Looked bigger on the pictures, but still ok for 6 persons. Location is great!
What could be improved: There should be more dishes and wine glasses (was only 1). In our last day the construction work began and it was hard to consentrate as we tried to work and impossible to attend on the meeting.Exceptional – Zhuo from Hungary – 1 November 2024 (10/10)
Location is good, kitchen facilities
What could be improved: The big living room is a bit noisy at night because it’s facing the streetSuperb – André from Brazil – 13 September 2024 (9/10)
The location is very good, easy access to everything and the staff is very helpful and helped us promptly when requested. We had a problem with the water heater and the staff immediately mobilized to solve it. They even helped us by booking a taxi to leave very early.
What could be improved: The building is very old, the elevator only holds one person and almost no luggage. There is construction going on in the anteroom of the apartment which makes for a strange experience. One of the bedrooms is on the mezzanine and has a very low ceiling. I am 1.81m tall and it made me uncomfortable. It is good for 4-5 persons , difficult to use upper floor beds, need to finish the neighborhood rec – Rakan from Saudi Arabia – 10 August 2024 (7/10)
Close to under ground transport ion , close to city center busniss and activity
What could be improved: Small rooms, small bath rooms and small kitchen and living room and dinning room
Not fit for 7 persons only 4-5
Upper room is toooo small and you need to use small metal stair to get to it
Very important is that there is very noisy construction immediate in your living room wall from other side in your neighborhood appartment. It may temporary but it was very noisy and close and starting earlyExceptional – Serafim from Russia – 11 May 2024 (10/10)
the stay was wonderful
