Starhotels Business Palace Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Starhotels Business Palace, you immediately get that this is a hotel that takes itself seriously — but not in a stuffy way. The lobby has this sleek, contemporary feel with clean lines and marble accents that somehow manage to feel warm rather than cold. It’s clearly designed for business travelers, but honestly, the attention to detail makes it work for anyone who appreciates a well-run place.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about the Ripamonti Corvetto area — it’s not touristy Milan, which is actually refreshing. You’re about 15 minutes from the Duomo by metro (Corvetto station is practically next door), but you get to experience a more authentic slice of the city. The neighborhood has that lived-in Italian feel, with local cafés and shops that don’t cater to tourists. I mean, if you want to be in the thick of fashion week madness, this isn’t your spot — but if you appreciate having easy access without the chaos, it works perfectly.

The Room Experience

The rooms at this four-star property are what you’d expect from a business-focused hotel — thoughtfully designed with work in mind, but comfortable enough that you don’t feel like you’re sleeping in an office. Each room comes with a proper desk setup, excellent Wi-Fi, and blackout curtains that actually work (trust me, this matters more than you think). The beds are firm in that European way, and the bathrooms are modern with walk-in showers that have decent water pressure.

Dining & Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Italian fare — nothing groundbreaking, but well-executed classics that hit the spot after a long day. What I really appreciate is their approach to breakfast; it’s comprehensive without being overwhelming, with quality coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours. There’s also a fitness center that’s compact but well-equipped, and honestly, the staff throughout the property just seems to get things done without making a big show of it.

Why Guests Love It

You know what sets this place apart? It’s the reliability factor. Starhotels Business Palace isn’t trying to be the coolest hotel in Milan — it’s trying to be the most dependable, and it succeeds. The service is consistently professional, the amenities work as advertised, and there’s covered parking available (which, if you’ve ever tried to park in Milan, you’ll know is practically a miracle). It’s the kind of place where business travelers become regulars, but it’s equally appealing if you just want a comfortable base for exploring the city without the premium you’d pay in the center.

Reviews of Starhotels Business Palace

  • Good price – quality hotel – Tiffany from Belgium – 15 November 2025 (9/10)

The staff: in fluent English, very kind. Upon arrival we couldn't check-in yet, but there is the possibility to store luggage. There was a possibility to check out later. One day I twisted my ankle and could barely walk anymore, they were very helpful, offered to escort me to the room, got ice.
Hotel and room: close to a metro station, large room for 3 people, had a bath (which was a big plus for me). They offer water and coffee/tea. Little remark: there was 3 of us, but the offered coffeepads/teabags was for only 2 people. The only downside maybe was that our room was the side where there is a kind of club in the back. Those people were a bit loud during the weekend, but hotel cannot help that of course. Just maybe good to mention somewhere? Good curtains, room was dark enough to sleep.
Breakfast: we took the breakfast for 2 days. More than enough choice, frequently added by staff. Choice between hot and cold options. I recommend.

What could be improved: If I have to give a remark, it would be the noice because of the club at the backside of the hotel, the side where our room was located.
And maybe a tip: if there will be 3 people in the room, maybe adjust the water/coffee/tea/soap to 3 people?

  • GREAT LOCATION AND VERY NICE HOTEL – Renato from Brazil – 31 October 2025 (9/10)

GOOD LOCATION, GOOD BREAKFAST AND VERY POLITE TEAM! ONLY MISSING A PARKING FOR A SMALL VAN. WE HAD TO PARK IN THE STREET. BUT WAS A SMALL DETAIL. THE HOTEL IS GOOD AND IT'S THE 5TH TIME WE STAY THERE.

  • Superb – Imane from Morocco – 29 October 2025 (9/10)

The room was clean & cosy, The staff was great & very helpful, the breakfast had a lot of diversity for savory or sweet lovers, the hotel is near the porte di mare metro station which is very practical !

  • amazing, excellent hotel and staff – Ciro from United Kingdom – 29 October 2025 (9/10)

breakfast was very good with lots to choose from, i read reviews that the breakfast was awful well i disagree.
our room was amazing clean and not dated as some reviews said. our shower head broke and within minutes someone came to our room and it was sorted.
    would definetly recommend this hotel.
metro 2 minute walk and very easy to use.

  • Superb – Fadi from Ukraine – 23 October 2025 (9/10)

    Location..service

What could be improved: Need to be updated the furnuture ..towels

  • Very nice hotel for a city trip. But you need the metro to get to the center. – Oana from Belgium – 22 October 2025 (9/10)

They made a nice welcome to my dog. They have a pet program, where pets receive a cushion to sleep, a bowl, a bottle of water, and a door sign to put on the door if the dog remains alone in the room. I signed some rules to follow, but it was a nice surprise. Staff very friendly and professional. Excellent breakfast. Very clean. Room was spacious. 2 min walk to metro stop to go to the Dome.

What could be improved: Maybe the shower could be a bit renewed.

  • Superb – Sevak from Armenia – 28 September 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: The receptionist, whose name was Robin, was very cynical, unable to solve the problem timely. I had very bad impression because of him.

  • Stay here and use the Metro when visiting Milan – Christopher from United Kingdom – 25 September 2025 (9/10)

Good buffet breakfast; friendly staff; comfortable beds; ease of access to the Metro, with the Duomo being about 10 minute ride; rooms use a physical key with mechanical bolt and once locked cannot be opened from the inside so very secure.

What could be improved: Surrounding area a little rough and not much in the immediate vicinity but just a couple of minutes walk from the Metro.

  • Comfortable stay and nice staff. – Deb from United States – 25 September 2025 (9/10)

    Wonderful breakfast! Helpful staff

What could be improved: Requested set up for 4 with the coffee mugs and they did not deliver them.

  • Very good – Montaser from Iraq – 24 September 2025 (8/10)

I stayed for two nights at Starhotels Business Palace in Milan and had a good experience. The hotel is elegant, the staff were welcoming, and my room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and offered a good variety.

The location is convenient, just a short walk to Porto di Mare metro station, and from there it takes only about 10 minutes to reach the Duomo and central area. Overall, a comfortable stay with great access to Milan’s main attractions — I really liked it and would stay again.

    What could be improved: nothing
