Here’s what I love about the Famagosta area — it’s properly Milanese without being pretentious about it. The Famagosta metro station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, which honestly makes getting around Milan so much easier than staying in the congested center. You know what surprised me? How quiet it gets in the evenings, especially considering you’re still well-connected to everything that matters in the city.

The Studio Setup

The apartment setup here is actually quite clever — you get your own space with a proper kitchenette (perfect for those morning espressos when you can’t be bothered to hunt down a café). The room feels bigger than typical Milan accommodations, and there’s genuine privacy since you’re not dealing with hotel corridors and constant foot traffic. I found the whole setup ideal for longer stays, though it works just fine for a few nights too.

Practical Matters

Let’s talk about what really matters when you’re traveling. The kitchenette means you can grab groceries from the local shops and actually save some money — Milan isn’t exactly budget-friendly when it comes to dining out every meal. Parking in this area is manageable compared to central Milan, which is a genuine relief if you’re driving. The Wi-Fi works properly (I know, basic requirement, but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up).

You’re staying in a neighborhood where actual Milanese people live and work, but you’re never more than 20 minutes from the major sights via metro.   The property offered excellent value for the price, with comprehensive facilities that met all my needs. The location was perfect, situated close to transportation options that made getting to the city center a breeze, just 15 minutes away. Additionally, the host provided clear instructions which made check-in and navigating the apartment straightforward.
  
  What could be improved: The internet connection was quite slow, which made it difficult it for an access. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable for two people, and the shower had low water pressure, which wasn’t very satisfying.

  What could be improved: Neighbours were very loud! The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The apartment is decorated with some unusual furniture. Too many stairs 6 flight of stairs to climb no lift not appropriate after a long day or with any bags.

  What could be improved: The balcony/window lock is broken so you hear cars from the street at night. There was a bedbug in the bathroom. Location is not the most convenient and it takes 30 minutes to get to almost anywhere.

  The location was amazing, perfect for a short city break as very easy to get everywhere, also very close walking distance to Navigili which was perfect for an evening dinner and drink. Felt very homely and lovely, and had everything needed for a short stay, even a hairdryer. Loved the balcony/ big door. Very spacious apartment was even better than the photos! Comfortable bed.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom could have been nicer but overall a lovely place. The only thing is the door was a little stiff but definitely manageable.

  Comfortable little apartment just outside of Milan, very well linked with public transport. We stayed for the F1 in Monza so definitely recommend this apartment if you’re in the area for this, the train station just behind the apartment has regular direct trains into Monza, and you beat all of the queues for Centrale! The apartment has everything you could need for a few days. Host was very responsive, helpful and friendly.
  
  What could be improved: There are lots of stairs to reach the apartment and no elevator, but this is quite typical for Italy we found. Just something to keep in mind! Other than that no problems.
